I took my 32gb sd card from my Evo 3D and put it in my new E4gt, but for some reason the native file explorer app, astro, and es file manager all show my sd card as being empty, with only a few folders showing. Weird thing is that the gallery shows all my pictures and the music app still shows my music, but I can't find my old apks and such anywhere on my phone.

On a possibly related issue, I can't download from the browser, it just keeps showing up as failed. As well, I can't mount USB drive when I plug it into the computer. If anyone has some insight into how to fix this issue, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Are u sure your not browsing through the phone's internal memory?

Yes, I am going through the directory /sdcard. It'll show folders like DCIM but when I open it up it just has cached thumbnails. When I get home I will take out the sd card and see if I can still explore it, make a backup and then reformat it. I was hoping though that I wouldn't have to do that so if anyone has any ideas it would save me a bunch of time.

Your external sd card is located at "external_sd". It appears as a folder in your phone's sd card but it is actually your external sd card.

I don't know which browser you are using but there should be an option to its default download location. Either create a new folder or point it toward your external sd card directory.

Your can mount your sd when you enable the usb debugging mode under menu, settings, applications, development.

Ha. Nvm I figured it out. I'm an idiot. There's a sub folder called external sd inside the folder sdcard. Didn't realize /sdcard was the internal and /sdcard/external_sd was my actual sd card. In any case I still can't mount USB or download from the browser.

You have to have debugging enabled to mount to you pc

Wow that was fast! Thank you so much for helping me. All that's left now is the darn downloads to work. I am using the stock browser and switched between setting the download location to the phone and memory card, but the downloads still fail.

I do have the folder but I think I figured out it was just the site I was trying to download from. Thanks a lot for all your help!
