Problem w/ EVO -- Top Button Would Not Turn Screen Back on

I had a weird problem that happened twice today. The phone was on but in sleep mode, and the screen was black. Pressing the top button would not tun the screen on. I pressed it multiple times. Touching the screen did nothing. I couldn't turn it off b/c you need to do it from the home screen.

I had to remove the battery and turn the phone back on for it to work. This has happened twice today.

Has anyone had this problem? Thoughts?

I have had that issue a few times with my moto droid (not for a while though come to think of it). Not sure what caused it; just rebooted the phone and it would be fine

My only suggestion is that an app could be causing it. If you suspect a recently installed app is causing it, uninstall that app for a day and see if you run into that problem. Then reinstall the app and see if your phone freezes on you again
