I have lost all sound from my left headphone. Its all the way in and clicks. My question is can the headphone jack be replaced? I bought my nexus from GameStop/ebgames, so I'm sure googles warrenty is not going to cover it.

Sometimes gunk builds up in the jack. Try blowing it out with a compressed air can, or inserting a moistened toothpick and digging around.

My problems back now I get sound off and on in the left headphone but it's like the pins in the jack that touch the headphone plug are lose.

Are you sure you were able to clean it out completely?

Yes I used a can of compressed air to blow it out, but I have finally fixed it for good now. I thought that the nexus was glued together but they aren't, they are just held together with a clip on back. So I pulled the back off, took out the two screws holding the jack into place lightly lifted it out of place and pressed the two contacting pins on the bottom of the jack in slightly so they would make a stronger contact with a headphone plug. Then just put it back in place replace the two screws and press the back cover back on. Back to good as new.

MacGyver! Nice job.

Better to use a squeeze bulb because those cans of compressed air might have a little oil. Congrats on getting it fixed.

It was nowhere near the cap.

The ifixit web site and app have very good step by step teardown if people want to see how to get to the Jack and USB assembly. They make a big deal about how little additional thickness it took to have clips vs. the glued construction of the iPad. (I think it's a difference in philosophy; Apple doesn't WANT anyone else inside their devices.)
