Problems Setting Custom Screenshot

So anytime I long press on an image online and "set as wallpaper" I go back to the main screen and see that all I get is the default honeycomb wall paper. Ideas?

I could only get it to work by downloading the image first

I won't even lie, i'm not sure how to just download an image on the Xoom as of now...
