I'm mildly disappointed that these forums allow people to share pirates warez. :-(

I understand and agree with your opinion. I have emailed the folks at Swype asking if I could buy the app. They said not at this time. When it's available, I will happily pay.

I thought the same thing, so I virus scanned them and they were clean. If you think its sketchy, just scan em for yourself no worries.

I did scan with Lookout. I guess I was less concerned about a virus and more concerned about the potential for the collection of sensitive data like passwords and credit card #s. Is that something Lookout or another virus scanner would turn up as malware?

Or is it just something that could be collected because of the nature of the app (input/keyboard)--in which case, no one else is concerned about this at all?

It would turn up in look out I think, I scanned it for keyloggers on my pc and it was clean. I wouldn't worry.

Just downloaded Swype today (love ittttt!!!) and it's working great. I like the stock look if it, the graphite/blue, but a graphite/pink would be awesome. It already looks great with the colors I have set up for Handcent, but it could look greatER lol It would be nice to be able to control settings for that in Swype too.

There's people skinning swype over at xda I believe. If you're in to that kinda stuff....

I dont know if this has been shared or not but I was in the swpe beta and downloaded the new skins. A few weeks later I got an email from swype that I am no longer in their beta since the skin I was using was not theirs.. that was gist of the email..

None from what I can tell, I actually think 1. 60 is better for some reason.

typing in landscape was already a breeze, now with swype in portrait mode, there is no need for a physical keyboard. Another win for the Evo.

I am using the new swype but the only thing that will keep me from using it all the time is that there is no voice input button, unless I am missing something?

Nope, no voice. I don't use voice so I wouldn't know a link but I know people have modded the swype and included a voice button over at xda somewhere.

now question: I have the same exact version of swype (1.56.30.7625) that you have linked with the awesome color theme installed and running on my evo. The only difference between the one i have installed and yours is the color scheme (same black keys, but where you have green and red, these are bright blue) and, more notably, this has a fully functional mic built in (the mic is its own button next to the return key in both portrait and landscape.)
-- i did not read through all 10 pages, but i did notice some were asking about a mic. as im pretty sure its against the rules to post the apk, anyone who wants this swype (to repeat, fully functional mic, black and blue themed), just shoot me a PM with your email address and i'll send it over.--

to digress to my question: since this version is the same as the one you have posted up, would you be able to theme this one (for my purposes, black and green -- i love your black and green, looks perfect imo--) while keeping the functional mic?
