As a long time WM user who became tired of waiting and jumped on the Android bandwagon with a Pre-Ordered Evo on launch day, I would welcome trying out the new WP7 experience on this awesome hardware.

i think the hd2 & hd7 are very close in specs to the evo. okay so now we know we need a bootloader and drivers made up. im sure there has to be some devs that would take this on? it's much beyond my scope of knowledge.

i just hope we can make this happen while keeping level heads in here.

i know it, the thread at xda got locked because of those two so called dev "trolls". honestly i do not think androidball knew what he was doing anyways. im not sure if he ever would of touched the project after reading his twitter.

xda is too hardcore for this and i do not think they can be of any help to what we want.

guess the question is, where do we go with this now? first we need a dev to step up. we sure have alot of member interest but no devs yet.

HD2, and the sprint cdma arrive are what we need to look at. A new bootloader will need to be constructed which is no easy task, so we are going to need a hell of a lot more than just any old dev

This will be a real challenge to anyone fix'in to poke a stick at it.

well since i found out i am loosing my upgrade on april 1st. im going tomorrow to buy the wp7 arrive on sprint. hopefully this can help us in some way. ill still have my evo but it will not be activated. im gonna sell both the phones when the nexus s or evo3d drops.

Don't do it man. It doesn't have 4G at all. Just get the nexus s and sell it full price LOL

Yeah the Evo 3D has some issues. No 4G , no kickstand, the ports prevent plugging phone in when in kickstand case in landscape. The camera went from 8 mp to 5 mp. Has potential but needs the common sense issues fixed before its a usable version of an evo.

The evo 3d does have 4G, kickstand case props it up the other way (ithink), and the camera records in 1080p + in 3D.

The EVO3D does have 4G radio
No kickstand shouldn't be a deal breaker
The phone isn't out yet so don't assume a case / kickstand combo won't work
MP has little to do with photo quality in this case. The Iphone Camera is better than the EVO camera and it is only 5MP (about the only thing better on iphone, don't think i'm pimping an apple product).

On topic I played win an Atrix and I was impressed. It is built really well, the way the screen tilts when its fully deployed in nice and I was actually fairly impressed with the OS.

You are absolutely correct, the Arrive. A buddy picked one up at launch and I have played with the surround also. He has had WebOS and several android device so he has become my inside man on WP7. It's not going to pull me away from android but I wouldn't mind seeing some roms bake in a few aspects of its UI.

Yeah, WP7 is REALLY smooth and the FPS is great on them. Theres some apps that act like the WP7 launcher, none of em compare though.
