Anyway if you do use decks rom I highly recommend getting gtalk and the miui camera, because decks camera isn't full screen! Other than that I say smokecrawler is on the mark with those recommendations! By the way I knew this time would come! Yehawwwwww!

I'm really digging the Miui camera app #17. I don't stay up to date with this app so I'm assuming it's the newest one. It has "anti-shake", I'm not sure if it really does anything but I like it.

Gapps are your google powered apps like the market place. Not all roms come with them preinstalled when you flash them, you have to flash gapps.

Yesterday I decided to switch to Google Voice, but I don't want it handling my SMS, and there's no obvious way of getting it to stop, so at this point I'm trying to figure out if I can go back to Sprint VVM and Handcent.

I won't be much help with getting just text working with handcent as I haven't tried it.

However, I do know for a fact you can use Sprint's VVM with AOSP roms. Easiest way is to be on a Sense rom and save it with Titanium Backup or any other app saver like MyBackup. The other way is to find the VVM app.

As I said I'm not too sure on how to get the text just to show up on Handcent.

Yes I have Google Voice and why I use the SMS with it solely is because I have the Google Voice extention on my computer. So when I get a text I don't need my phone. I can just do it from my computer when I'm on it. The only thing is if you want to send MMS or receive a MMS you will need stock messenger.

If you flash the Gapps w/Decks rom you will have sprint's vvm. Deck has a link to it in his thread on XDA and on his forum.

Well crap. That's what I get for not digging deeply enough. I started with Decks, but didn't find the gapps in his thread. Thanks - I'm playing with MIUI but will likely find the absence of 4G too limiting.

Let me know how Decks 1.3b2 is. I am only on 1.3b because I have no reason to change right away. It is so stable and fast with my setup, I may not be flashing anymore roms right now!
