[PSA] Rooting the new 2.3 is [ITS POSSIBLE GUYS!!!] 8/14/11

Can't find a sn# anywhere! Even on the box it was shipped to me in does not have a sn# on it

Any ideas or other ways I can find this out!!!

Just use adb

Run adb devices and you s/n will show.

Ok, so when you first open the Revolutionary Rooting file and have your device plugged up, it will give you your sn# in the command prompt.

I would use a second command prompt just in case and also leave the command prompt for the rooting file open.

I now have root and can finally get back to Decks Rom

Remove HTC Sync as some had problems with it being installed. I would uncheck fastboot as your phone will reboot a few times. Yeah just follow along with the video and you'll be fine

Update: Think something is tweaked in the phone. Done a few more battery pulls and messing around and finally got it into recovery. Flashing back to stock and seeing if it does it again and if so I will be taking it into Sprint. Load off my chest right now.

For anybody having a prob with the beta key, I had to do the process twice, the second beta key it gave me worked fine. it was a different key and went through ok. More than likely i was just typing it wrong.

Here lately I have slowed down on flashing new roms. I've been rooted since October so I got tired of always setting it up to my liking.

For AOSP (Android Open Source Project) the 3 I would recommend is

CM7 Don't forget gapps

Deck's gapps also needed

Vaelpak4 Gapps included

As for Sense I haven't used one in a long time, but here are some popular roms

I like Decks alot so that's my first recommended AOSP rom.

Anyway if you do use decks rom I highly recommend getting gtalk and the miui camera, because decks camera isn't full screen! Other than that I say smokecrawler is on the mark with those recommendations! By the way I knew this time would come! Yehawwwwww!
