Hello. I've been using PWGB for sometime now and decided to flash Imoseyen's lean kernel 1.5.2. I wipe cache/dalvik before I flashed the kernel and now I'm getting FC's for Pandora, K-9 mail, and Facebook. Can someone help me fix this or direct me to the right path, please? Thanks in advance.

I would try an older version of his kernel. You can download off his page on XDA. Another good kernel is TKSGB.

Could also be a permissions issue. Try fixing permissions first using CWM. (Mount /data first)

Also, try a reinstall of those apps.

I would also try reflashing the permissions zip from the pwgb installation instructions.

Update: I went ahead and wiped the big 3, flashed fix permissions and then reflashed the lean kernel. I can tell that my phone is more snappy and only encountered the phone rebooting on me once. But, my battery is draining more quickly...assuming from the kernel being oc. Has anybody tried both the Lean and TKSGB kernels? Also, was there a difference in battery life between the two? One last thing, what is the latest OTA stock kernel...I can't remember?

Just an FYI - the battery drain on the latest version of the lean kernel is a known issue and is usually fixed by wiping your battery stats. I use this app to make it easy on myself (+ it's nice to see the real time voltage)

Battery levels can still be a bit wonky, but I'm happy with the battery performance overall.

I'm running Resurection 1.0 with 1.52 of the lean kernel. I get no force closes, but I do get the occasional reboot (likely due to the voltage/oc settings in the kernel), but my phone runs so well I really couldn't be arsed to try and fix it. Since lean kernel reboots so quickly (15-20 seconds) it's only slightly annoying.

I tried TKS a few times an always encountered horrible performance lag no matter what settings I changed with Voltage Control. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't get it to play nice.

What kernel are you flashing with it? Are you flashing data, cache, and dalvik before the install?

Im flashing with imoseyen lean kernel 1.4.1 and what do you mean? I wipe the cache before installing?

When you try to flash a new rom, you need to wipe your data, cache, and dalvik in CWM prior to the install to ensure a smoother installation. What ROM are you running right now?

Also where is dalvik or whatever its called? I only see data and cache?

Dalvik is in the advanced menu of CWM. If you're not wiping that, it could be the source of your woes. Try it again with wiping all three first. If it still hangs, we'll try something different.

You can try it thrpugh terminal emulator, or CWM. If you haven't downloaded terminal emulator from the market yet, I highly recommend you do. If you use CWM for it, the option is in the advanced menu. It should take one or two minutes, and will say done! when it's complete.

Can I flash Resurection 1.0 (after wiping the big 3) over PWGB or am I missinng a step?

What if I want to get rid of the lean kernel and go back to straight PWGB, what is the proper procedure to do that since it's going back to nonvoodoo...
