I have read on various forums that developers are (or will) have problems with developing solid (major apps) ie espn, banks, and social (twitter and facebook do not look as solid on droid as i though it would compared to another smartphone). How true is that and can (will) it be overcome, or will heavy app users need to look for another phone. Do any other android phone has this problem (g1, hero, eris, etc). And will adding a sim card help the issue.

theres quite a bit of memory on the droid, this shouldnt be an issue, especially when a lot of apps store memory on the sd card

I've heard rumors that they're also working on allowing to install directly to the SD card as well so that would pretty much elminiate any "memory" issues... unless you're talking "RAM", but then maybe you need a netbook or something. The Droid is a phone after all.
