Question on the GB27 upgrade.

Presently upgrading my replacement phone to GB27. All has been going smooth, except that the download appears to be hung up at 88% and is not progressing. It's been there hung there for ~15minutes. Is this normal?
Please advise.

OH...forgot to mention I am using KIES.

something seems to be very wrong with Kies. Mine took over an hour for the full upgrade. Not only that, I lost the contact from the backup I did on my father's phone before the upgrade and now can't find the darn files.

I was upgrading on windows vista and wonder if that may be an issue. I upgraded my mother's phone on windows 8 and all was fine - took about 1/2 hour total.

I am chatting with Samsung now. I am running 7 64bit.

I didn't bother with Kies as I'd read all over this forum how many issues users were having. I used the download off the Samsung site, worked perfectly in less than 10 minutes. Good luck!

UPDATE! New phone is bad..on it's way to Samsung for a complete whatsover. Old phone on its way to the insurance company and I am now temporarily rocking my old LG Lotus!
