Hi, I just recently updated my Samsung Galaxy s5 from 4.4.2 to 5.1.1, and I'm loving all the new features. However, I wanted to see if anyone can tell me about the dropdown notifications that appear at the top of your screen. So far, I've only seen this happen for Twitter notifications, but I wish it happened with everything. Does this only work with certain apps? Is there a list of these apps? Is it some setting I'm missing? Please help.

Hello and welcome to Android Central!

Are you talking about the Notification panel that drops down when you swipe down? If so maybe try: Settings > Notification panel > then go from there.

Hope you find what you're looking for and enjoy!

I was referring to notifications such as the ones seen at the top of these images.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean the notifications that have interactive buttons? These are app-specific. For example, I have a secure token app (DuoMobile) that gives me a notification when I have to log into my workplace remotely. The notification has Approve and Reject buttons, which are handy. I doubt there's a comprehensive list of apps that use this functionality, though.

That's what I'm saying... And then in our Notification settings we can disable/enable them for the apps of our choice.
