Alrighty...
So my home was SDX-developers when I had the Samsung Moment. I got so tired of the stupid data lock up issues and Sprint trying to shaft me so I sold the moment for 120 and picked up the Optimus brand new for 150 off Craigslist. Couldn't get it for free through sprint, not ready for 150 rebate yet. So thats my story.
NOW...I am not new to roots, roms, custom recovery or anything.
So I have rooted my Optimus S and been looking over at the benchmarks that people are getting with some little changes.
I currently have my Optimus completely stock, rooted and clocked max 600 with setCPU.
WHAT I WANT TO DO
Trying to keep phone as normal as possible so I am wanting to just add the overclocking kernal from Zefie and then overclock it to 806 which seems to be the most stable.
My linpack results were just barely under 4 MFLOPS.
WHAT I NEED
I just need to make sure my process is correct...so can someone confirm this.
1. Download the zip from Zefie's Xionia Kernel 2.6.32.26 thread
2. Follow his rules.
LAST QUESTION
1. Do I need to apply the custom recovery([Custom Recovery] Optimus S/ Thunderc-sprint) to install kernal or am I good just using the adb on my computer?
2. Would it be best/Do you recommend just going ahead and applying the [Custom Recovery] Optimus S/ Thunderc-sprint just because?
