Not quote so funny...
I see a lot of "LOL" here, but has anyone called Verizon or Moto to inquire? Both have told my wife she's lost her warranty and her 30-day trial period before she's even turned the phone on.
Like many here, she followed the instructions on the phone to "PULL".
To her, the tab looked like the tabs you see in electronic devices that are shipped with a battery from the factory. The remote control for my Mac Mini had one of these, if I recall correctly. So have a couple other remote controls. You have to pull the tab out to get the device to work.
So for Motorola's poor product design, she's out the warranty on a brand-new $500 telephone. Hope nothing else goes wrong, right? Not so LOL now.
As for Verizon, it's like talking to a wall. I have no idea why VZW expends so much energy trying to chase away customers who buy its top-tier wireless service and top-end phone. Sprint's network sucked, but at least they were nice.
Yes. We have talked to Motorola. Yes. We have talked to Verizon. Yes. We have escalated. We're SOL for making an honest mistake Motorola could've reasonably predicted.
Honestly, how hard would it have been to print "PULL to remove battery" on the tab and the backing?
