Quick Micro SD Question

So I'm pretty new to android and I wanted to know if I could access my Micro SD card when I lmug my phone into my computer. I ask because I figured this will be the fastest way to keep adding songs to my phone without having to remove my micro SD and using the SD adaptor constantly. Thank you

Or you can just plug your phone into your computer instead and move songs into the sd card without having to take it out of your phone.

I store my music in a cloud service and can listen to or if I want download to a device.

You can if you want use a USB to USB-C adapter to use an external sdxc card as a spare backup.

Android File Transfer for Mac was not working for me, maybe doesn't support High Sierra. Smart Sync though does work.
