Has anyone figured out how to get a quick reply popup on the motox without breaking motoconnect and moto assist? I am opened to 3rd party apps or whatever. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried pretty much all of them and honestly none of them are as good to me as the cm quick reply. I have been using textra and like it but it breaks Moto connect and assist.

SMS Notifier gives you a popup and quick response. not sure how it works with assist or connect tho.

That was one of my favorite CM features. I haven't seen anything comparable.

Is your Textra closing after you send a text? It didn't used to but it seems like they changed it to do this. Went i looked on their google play page it mentioned an update that almost made it seemed like they made a change so it *wouldn't* close. What is yours doing after you hit send?

Textra won't work with any third party app as it uses its own proprietary database for storing texts. It does a one time sync with the main database when you first install it and then it only does a one way sync after. This is why it won't work with third party apps like Motorola Connect and MightyText. There is a thread on it here and they have been ignoring the issue for months.

Full support for MightyText – Textra SMS

I agree with others, go with 8sms. It is based on CM so it should do everything you want and work with all third party apps and unlike the awful devs of Textra the dev of 8sms is very responsive to user requests.

no verizon i use VZ messages from the market, syncs my moto x messages with my ipad (also using vz messages from the app store)
