The part in the back has a scuff and small scratches already and I make sure to sit the phone on papers and keep it in my pocket when I can. I hope the day comes when we'll just go back to regular plastic. I hated it on my Ps3 and I hate it even more w/ a phone that I handle everyday. I wish the whole phone was made like the back cover.

I figured it would scratch easily so day 1 I took some leftover scraps of invisible shield and cut a piece out to protect that bump.

I don't think I can use the word "hate", but I do prefer a matte casing. Less fingerprints, less tendency for hairline scratches, etc. However, I also like having a case on my phone, so mine E4GT was inside a TPU case about 5 minutes after a took it out of the box. The TPU case gives me the matte anti-scratch cover I want and adds minimal girth.

i also use a TPU cover, and did on my evo4g as well, just be aware that your casing will still scratch over time as my evo did

Yeah I don't get why they didn't just make the whole back knurled like most of the back is. Looks cool even tho it's slippery .

I didn't think of putting a case on my Epic Touch. I figure if I can make it 2 years without scratching the plastic screen on my Palm Pre I could do the same with the Gorilla Glass screen on the Epic Touch. I like my gadgets naked!

I usually get whatever the store has. This time I got the 29buck hardcase. I returned it, becuz it was overpriced crap. While waiting for the TPU case I went naked for a couple of days. This is when the scuff on that part came
