I have a moto stylus 5G 2024. Every day around noon my time I get a chime.
I pulled down the shield & it's an ad for a credit card? Or a Game. So I hit Dismiss.

I looked in the notification history and, it says from "Mobile Services"
Went to APP Info on Mobile Services. I'm trying to find a way to opt out
or shut it off? but, there's appx: 12 On/Off buttons. - Another user told me shutting the wrong
one off can disable your in-coming text messages? Has anyone else delt with this issue?

I'm certain the area is Mobile Services, under Notifications. grateful for any help..

It's not what you sent me to:

"I found an app installing games without my permission and want to change it's permissions" Its just an ad.... Download for this credit card.

Install this game (with an option to install or dismiss) ? I could change the sounds on the bells to the left side? If it falls under Notifications? It's not from the play store. Dam thing was installed by moto.

Who's your carrier? This is almost certainly a bloatware app installed by your carrier that gives "recommendations" for apps to install, and sometimes will even install them automatically unless you opt out. Many carriers do this kind of garbage -- Verizon has its Verizon App Manager and T-Mobile has its T-Mobile AppSelector. This kind of thing can typically be uninstalled or disabled in the Settings>Apps menu -- I don't think it has anything to do with your actual cell service.

Not a big deal..... thought someone had a clue, bloatware! I agree. I'll just tick the bell to the left and change the sound bite.

As @B. Diddy said, just disable the app. But if that causes trouble, you can just turn off notifications from the app.

The Mobile Services app? Disabling that app I was told can cause issues? Missed txt. messages? I can "Dismiss" 1 text message a day ...
No other users have the same phone as I do & are experincing the same?

You're saying one of the notification toggles is for Missed Text Messages? That wasn't shown in the screenshots you previously shared. But I'm still not sure how important that is -- the text messaging app you're using is what sends you notifications about text messages. How would it know if you missed one?

You can wait to see if anyone else has the same phone and same issue, but you can also just turn off all or most of those notification toggles (or disable the app and see what happens).
