Hi, I am android developer. I also have this problem in my Andoid phone before a year.
Cause
This problem is of because the app you installed like mobegenie or etc creates a backup in your google account so when you reset your mobile it downloads again from your google account.
How To solve this problem
1.You can add a new google account after reset or
2.Uncheck automatics updates in google play store also uncheck unknown Sources.

Something is wrong.
I do nothing and once a day I see a new app is installed on my phone.
I made a factory reset, then installed only a couple of the most important apps. After that, a month later, it began again. Is it a virus? I don't know, because I install "Avast!" - no warninds, then "Lookout" - it also says no malware is found. The programs it installs look fine, they are not malware at all.

What should I do now? Should I report to any antivirus company?

You can check the settings and look for the apps named Live Wallpaper, Back up tool,Guard service,Core Service, Monkey Test ....Desable and force stop them ......Problem will be gone.....

any progress? Me too getting the same problem? Random apps keep installing without permission

I just signed up this forum only to advise resolution.. Had faced this problem for a month. Especially phone is hanging when i connect to internet.. Installing apps 100s of times even though i uninstall them so many times.. Android data usage shows 2gb is used but not giving appwise breakup.....
Installed AVG antivirus and scan first showed me 5 apps as malware with a message that they have been provided by phone manufacturer and cannot be uninstalled..I went into "Performance" and "Data Usage", noticed that one of those 5 apps (named- "engrils") has used enormous data in wifi. I immediately went into app manager, cleared all data and disabled this app, along with the other 4, Thats the end of the agony.. Now my phone is superfast even when wifi is connected and no more unnecessary installations..
Finally, dont bother about which apps r getting installed Nd what r the 5 apps that AVG detected in my phone ... Just try this data usage verification and uninstall/disable them RUTHLESSLY....

Just upgraded to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus with Verizon and had random apps installed upon set up. I uninstalled them, but woke up to see them back today. After some research, found that Verizon is auto installing bloatware through an app called DT Ignite. Check your applications and disable DT Ignite. You can't uninstall, only disable.

Good call on unchecking the Automatic Restore. Forgot about that one!

Sir i got very bad situation as discused above, one question, when backup data before factory reset, should i back up all other data such as photos, letters, video and others? Or just back up through google so when I restore they will all restored including photo bla bla bla? Please advise, that im quite frustate about this virus...

Will be appriciated for the assistant sir. Thanks

Every time i open my tab, it says first optimizing applications then random apps install every time i use my tab.
i have too much good things in my tablet to factory reset

We're sorry to hear that our app also was a part of this "black" promotion.

Our developers made a tool to fix this problem and delete this unofficial APUS Launcher with all ads.

Here is an instruction:

Instruction
The tool's apk is attached, and please follow instructions below to perform the uninstallation. 1. Make sure your phone is rooted, and please also grant root access permission to this tool 2. Download the apk from this email's attachment and install it 3. Open up the app (Booster+) 4. Tap the 3-dots icon on top right corner 5. Select "Transfer APUS Launcher", then wait up to 30 seconds 6. A window will pop up, tap reboot. 7. After rebooting your phone, you should be able to uninstall APUS Launcher. Attached 3 screenshots to make the process clearer. Please note that you will only be able to see the "Transfer APUS Launcher" option if you have the unofficial version of APUS Launcher (forcefully) installed on your phone. We hope this can solve the problem, please let us know if you encounter any issues. Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

No cure man... you must re-flash your device.... i did with mine....

or you can disable that monkeytest by force, but it will still there and create more when you restart your device

application has auto-installed at my phone, i've already unchecked the box for allowing apps then i also unchecked the 3 dots in google play store for auto-update apps, but all of those is doesn't work.

A malicious app silently download and install other malicious apps without user permission so you just needs to find that malicious app. Malicious app can also be on Google Play as well as from unknown sources. Because you can't detect which app is malicious you have to follow the following security tips.

1.Uninstall all the unnecessary apps. (the apps you have some doubt on them)
you can get the list of all apps here Setting > Apps > Downloaded

2. Restrict background data/wifi access of all apps except (Facebook, whatsapp, twitter, google play and all common apps)
because malicious apps use background data/wifi to download other malicious apps/ads and upload your data (logs, passwords, pics etc) to the hacker. So by restricting of background internet usage malicious apps can not download/upload secretly.

Setting > Data usage > select each app one by one you want restrict > scroll down > check "Restrict Background Data".

3. Install an advance firefall from google play (check the rating and reviews while selecting one) and create rules which app can access internet.

A malicious app can be more dangerous than your thinking. It can secretly record your video and can take pictures from your front and back camera without your knowledge it can also record your passwords, can leak your contacts, can read your whatsapp and much more you can't imagine.

So Please take care all.

Well, This is really working currently but need to wait how well this work later. Hope this will work later as well. But thanks anyway.
BEST SOLUTION:::::. 1.Install an advance firefall from google play (check the rating and reviews while selecting one) and create rules which app can access internet.
OR
2.I went into "Performance" and "Data Usage", noticed that one of those 5 apps (named- "engrils") has used enormous data in wifi. Pls help me. I have some trouble in my phone, because it keeps installing apps that i dont want. My phone is rooted by KINGROOT. PLEASE HELP.

i already have a solution now. 1st install AVG protection then scan for malware. then if malware was found. install kingroot. then uninstall the found malwares in kingroot.. mines malware was ConfigService and SmsManager that install random app like Apus Launcher , DU Booster, Wifi key masster etc. no need to flash your Android. Cheers from Philippines.

Me to same problem

After factory reset also automatically installing some apps like

UC mini browser
360 Antivirus
Du battery
wifi master key
apc
etc.... its going on installing unwanted apps

One thing I want to ask u and all, did u install 'IMO'. Your device is infected by IMO, it's a most dangerous virus, there is no solution till yet, it's never gone even after 'flashing'. U have only one solution just change the device, you cannot do anything.
I suggested you all that don't install 'IMO'.

:p a virus called malware is the problem .i know you have tried lot of things ,but you dont get any result.this solution is only those who tried and failed in factory reset /wipe out.download a new rom from XDA DEVELOPER and install() it.if you dont know how to root please see some tutorial videos.there is no other solution than this because malware is already installed in you stock rom .please try it .be careful while rooting.
try to use cynogenmod rom only if available from trusted supplier
