As far as I can tell the color is the only difference, maybe the sound they offer varies.I have dongle 1 as it was cheaper however I feel dongle 2 is the new version. Dongle 1 still sounds good compared to the standard Pixel one.

And both sold out

That happens to the Google's too from time to time. I guess people are buying extra dongles.
I know. annoying I was about to order 3 more of the HTC ones. Oh well. I guess I'll wait.
This one used to be on the Google site but now I don't see it....pricey but I'm tempted to check it out....it's on the Moshi site now. They list the audio specs on it but not sure it's any different.
Huh. Interesting. I wonder if it's much different. I'm not spending 25 bucks plus shipping to find out though. The Razer and HTC ones are good enough for now IMO. But I am very curious.
The one on the moshi site have aluminum housings, so that's different. I wonder if the sound is different. It has to be right? For an almost $15 difference?
Thanks for posting this. I had no idea adapters would produce great difference in quality. I was about to order some cheap Amazon adapters. I'm surprised the Google version is inferior.

It's pretty poor.
The potential is kinda cool. You can have a dongle that may be focused on the best classical music performance, etc...
Which adapter feels like it fits the smoothest into the USB-C port ? You can't afford risking damage to the port considering everything runs through it now.
