I'm running CyanogenMod and thankfully there's a setting for led colors. I've kept the same colors, but just set much darker. Ahh.....

No problems with the size or brightness of the light.

I do find it bright at night. But I just cover it up or turn on airplane mode.
I should note that my bedroom is super dark and have blackout curtains.
