EDIT*
Forgot to mention that I did a battery calibration this morning. This is much better than yesterday. At this time yesterday I was all ready dead and charging it.

Interesting...

My screen is all the way down. All updates and push are off. Im on 3g only turned off 4g

Im pretty close to your awake and up time but i have about 20 more min of awake time and im at 40%

20% difference but my screen is all the way down. I know when i first got it the screen was half way and that had a major inpact on time i was getting 2hrs max...

I think i should call verizon and exchange it and try a new one, I just wanted to see what others are getting because i dont want to deal with exchaning.

wake time is when you are using the phone.

People are saying there phones last 2 days but thats because there awake time is 1hr. lol

You should get 6hrs of awake time. I get 2-4hrs

I've got 6 hours and 29 minutes of wake time on my first charge of the Seidio 1600 battery.

7 hours and 46 mintues of up time and still 40% showing on this first charge.

No because if you dont restart your phone the numbers will not reset so if you keep your phone on for a week i bet you will have 20hrs or more of awake time....

That is wrong. You do not have to restart/reboot your phone to reset these numbers. The numbers are from your last "unplugged." It says so right on your phone.

You didnt restart after charge htc said only 6hrs so no way your getting 7.5 hrs

WAY. I've got 6 hours and 34 minutes so far today. I know this because I have been watching it all day. Two plus hours of that were watching a downloaded movie from Bluckbuster.... unplugged, of course.

How many times have you charged your battery? What are your settings? Do you bump charge?

Maybe you have a defective battery.

You do have to restart. Read what it says

Uptime= Time up in andriod from boot.

Awake= Time the phone is being used screen on

So if you leave your phone on for a mo. Your uptime will be a mo. ANd your awake time will be really high.

The phone does not reset when charging. It only resets by doing a restart

Unless my phone is that defective....

What is the battery calibration that you mentioned?

Also, can someone please explain awake time vs. up time?

Every time you unplug from the charger it resets your times - I know, because I did it Monday and messed the test I was doing.

I took my phone off the charger this AM and it now reads:

8 hours 6 minutes of up time
6 hours 5 minutes of wake time

It is still at 40%

and that is accurate.

If you are getting poor performance out of your battery, I am sorry. Maybe it is defective, or it hasn't been charged enough times yet.

Depends.

How many times have you charged your battery?
Have you ever bump charged it?

If your battery has only been charged once or twice and has never been bump charged, then I would say that's about normal - or at least that's what I was getting on my first two days last week.

If you've had it for more than few days and have never bump charged it - do it, you will be happy with the results. Here is a link to read about bump charging:

I've had it since day 1, so 6 days now. I've done a short version of bump charging. I charge my phone every night, then when I get up I power off and charge until green, then power back on, and charge til green.

Up time is the time your phone is on.

Awake time is the time you were actually using it (not sitting idle)

You have to unplug from the charger, not just turn the phone on and off.

Did you do that?

i use my phone all day and i am very impressed.

I stream sirius all day at work, check emails, text.

My HTC aria would only last about 2-3 hours.

My TB has gone 5 + with out charging. Very impressive.

Everyone knows android phones have battery issues.

Mine seems to do it differently.

I was testing my charge time Monday (while working) but when it got down to 30% I had to plug it in because I needed my phone to continue working the rest of the day. When I unplugged it it reset my numbers.

Have you tried that?

Then I don't know what to say. :'(

Damn it! Oh well, thanks for the help! I'll keep messing with different settings and see what happens.

I dl'd Spare Parts and noticed my Calendar is a huge network hog. I changed the sync for it, so I'll see if that does anything.

sure have

reboot is the only way to reset those times. There not counters for recharge like the iphone there counters for andriod up time.
