Recall Exchange; Problems with no receipt

How many people have had problems trying to exchange a recalled Note 7 because you bought it from craigslist, ebay, p2p or other non retailer? It's been hell so far for me. I have a case opened with Samsung as the carrier won't help. Waiting to hear back which should be 24-48 hrs. Will post an update and hopefully have a path to an exchange.
