Received G5. Battery looks to be pretty bad

Ive had my phone for only 1 day now, but its certainly better than the V10. Getting much better usage so far. V10 would drain really fast.

Ok guys, getting close to the end of this battery drain. This is much more like a normal days use for me. I streamed Spotify a good bit(2-3hrs). You'll also notice my screen use percentages being higher today.... this is because I work outside, and live in Miami... Auto brightness is at a full 100% when I'm outside. I need to text clients, take calls, send emails, check online for parts availability, ect... again my handset is my office.

I'm over 7 hrs SOT as I'm typing. Definitely will hit 7.5hrs... not sure if it will make 8hrs today. But again, this is with auto brightness outside for several hours, as well as heavy Spotify streaming. As soon as I hit 5% I'll post pics.

With the screen off this phone's battery is phenomenal. When I start watching videos the battery goes quick. Glad it's a removable one.

Just because under AC app, he shows less than 20 min CPU foreground does not mean he was only using the app for 20 minutes. He could have been actively using the app for 2-3 hours, which means 2-3 hours of SOT during this time as well.

Ah, gotcha. Sorry I misunderstood what you were saying. I agree, cpu foreground cannot be used to tell how long an app has been running.

Yeah me either. I don't even belive it's possible without turning battery saver on and the brightness down to near zero

I'm @ almost 5 hours screen on time right now and my battery is sitting @ 30%.

This is my first charge of the phone, I'm a little over 24 hours right now.

Seems pretty good to me.

We all use our phones differently and battery life has a lot of variables. Some days my battery lasts most of the day on others days I run it down quick. All of my phones have always been like that.

I was thinking about getting a spare battery.
Not because I need it but because I can swap it out. And listening, watching and reading a ton of negative stuff about this phone.

The thing is... I don't need it!
The thing lasts a good long time compared to the negative press I was ingesting. It lasts way longer than any of my other gadgets so I've trained myself not to go far from a charger.

Give it some time, man!

Also, don't forget to set up the battery optimize option. That really makes all the difference.

One other thing...

Even though the phone charges extremely fast I tend to leave it on the charger at night.

One night I forgot to.

The phone is always on (as is all my gadgets).

When I woke and noticed I forgot to plug it in, I checked the phone and it was at 92% which I thought was pretty good. But.. I didn't know where it had been when I went to bed. The next night I purposely charged it to 100% and left it off the charger.

The next morning, 9-1/2 hours later, it was at 98%.

Wow!

Don't tell me this phone has battery issues.

I'm sure the odd one does but seriously!

It only needs a 2800mah battery. Plus, you can get a spare or two if need be.
