Received Official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OTA this morning

I didn't want to start a new thread for this but I'm completely stock not rooted not unlocked but when i try to go into the bootloader i get the dead android with the red triangle is this normal for completely stock because i don't remember I've been rooted and unlocked for so long

Used the trick to force the update last night and it worked. I have only made two voice calls so far and I called from an area in the woods that traditionally has had low to no signal and I must say I believe the signal strength is much stronger and the call quality much better. I have not gone back and looked at previous post since last night so there may be others that have mentioned this.

if you aren't rooted and not unlocked just 100% stock like from the store, are you supposed to get the red triangle with the android laying down while trying to go into the recovery??

Just received my update.. had to utilize Lowe's' wifi to do it but it finally came through! It messed up my short cut to my camera but that was easily fixed. I had mobile data off and did the Trick twice..second time was the charm in this case. I'm in southeast middle Tennessee. It's awesome so far!

Hi, I purchased a used Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Can anyone tell me with this screen shot if I am stock? Will I be getting the OTA JB update?

Sorry, I am old and not very technical. I will type it out manually:

Android Version 4.0.4
Baseband version 1515.09 V.FC04/1515.FC05
Kernel version 3.0.8-gda6252b

Yes, that's the stock recovery splash screen. Pressing both volumes passes it. :)

Yeah your in the same boat as the rest of us O(some anyway) you should get jelly bean but when who knows lol.. check for a update and see what happens!!

Trick does work. Have to swipe away settings on recent apps after clearing Google frame work. Did that and it worked immediately. I'm in Maryland if anyone cares.

None of these tricks work tried em all in every order about 60 times. I'm gonna wait it out getting aggravated doing this nonsense repeatedly

Did the trick a few times and installing now. This is without sim card in the phone. Previously on "k".

No, it didn't. That is why I started saying then that it was just coincidence. I tried the "trick" on mine and my wife's phone for 2 days and it didn't work. My update came up after a couple hours of just letting it sit and then just hitting Check For Updates, and my wife's came up automatically about 6 hours later.

FWIW, I have tried this method a bit yesterday with my wife's phone (mine is rooted and rom'd) and still nothing.

It doesn't work. If it did work, it would work for everyone, every time.

Maybe you're right... during 4.0.4 it did not feel like a coincidence for me getting it on the second try... but that's how chance works too... my gut refuses to accept that we were all just" lucky"

So

Have you tried spinning in a circle (counter clockwise) and then turning off mobile data opening and closing your recent apps doing a battery pull with your right hand then using the gsf trick a prime number of times more than today's date?

Yeah still nothing i flashed back to stock re locked the boot loader and wiped all my data (yet somehow i didn't have to put my key in) tried the ''trick'' about 30x's already nothing i'll just wait it out on stock!!!
