Regarding Dec. 9 no longer being the unofficial date

I have mentioned a 12/22 launch before. That was a guess based on info I had. I guessed that because it is a Thursday. The info I had was 12/18. That will be the launch date. 12/18/2011. Not all stores have inventory, but they will by 12/18. Also, 12/18 is when the rest of the devices will arrive to the US. Yes, I know it is a Sunday.

I know, sounds to good to be true, but I'm driving out there (only 15mn drive for me) and see what kind of commotion is going on after they close, because the ladies said that tonight they were getting things "ready" and they have glass doors in the front and if I can, and see the Nexus sitting pretty, I'm taking pics and posting them tonight.

Here's another date to add to this rumor-mill... Just called an V reseller in South Philly and the guy said "maybe the 11th."

Another blog posted that they heard of a possible release day of the 11th as well. I don't believe it, but its yet another date floating around.

Good luck getting those pictures. I imagine a store with all the lights out and a Nexus just sitting on a pedestal in the middle of the store on the homescreen...

It just seems like a weird day to release a phone, but don't get me wrong, I would be more than happy if it comes out Sunday. Perhaps Verizon would do this to get the phones out ASAP.

Just talked to a Verizon rep and its confirmed that tomorrow will be the day the Galaxy Nexus is available to the masses, that tonight they will be rearranging the walls and phones to showcase the new guy, the Galaxy Nexus!

Me too. I'm especially interested since I'm located at Camp Pendleton and that location isn't TOO far from me. Sucks because I'm going to the field tomorrow for a week so I'm most likely going to miss the launch which might not be a bad thing. When I come out of the field maybe I can just walk into a store at that point one and get one.
