Re: Regarding the AT&T Nexus 6...
I have a nexus 6, only one (5.01) came OTA, and that is after I removed the SIM. I received it, installed, but after it installed, it did not install. Checked the forums, it was happening all over AT&T devices.
I waited 3 more weeks, I pulled the SIM, within 10 seconds, I received the OTA. I never received 5.02 OTA,I sideloaded it after a month of waiting.
My Nexus 5, as well as my wife's Nexus 5 never got the OTA. We had to side load all updates to that as well. She never received 5.0 nor 5.01 on her Nexus 7, she jumped straight to 5.02 OTA after 2 months. After 6 weeks of no 5.01, I sideloaded my Nexus 7. I never got 5.02, ahve not recevied 5.1. I sideloaded 5.02 after 4 weeks.
Google sucks with OTA updates, AT&T will also impede your updates.
I am sure, several people have received the OTA updates just fine, so will tell you there is no issue with the process, but go out of this forum, and there are a ton of reported issues of not getting updates, as well as slow updates.
The official Google forums also have a slew of people who have had issues.
