Registration for "immersive Gear VR experience for $99" - How did it Go

I was assured by Samsung rep over the phone that I would have no problem getting my $99 immersive bundle when I asked if they were going to run out by the time I could receive and register my s8+ pre-ordered thru Best Buy April 14, with AT&T as my carrier. I am a caregiver for a recent amputee and was not able to IMMEDIATELY register for the $99 bundle. When I went to register in less than 24 hours after receiving the phone, as soon as I could possibly register due to my extremely demanding work schedule, I was told it was sold out. I reached out to Samsung, Samsung Promotions, Customer Relations, Technical Support, Best Buy, thru many many calls, emails, live chat, hours upon hours spent on hold, writing emails, talking on the phone, taking thru live chat, remote assistance, with multiple ticket numbers and am still working on the issue, as I have a recording of the Samsung rep assuring me I would get the $99 bundle with no problem, no worries of selling out. I've experienced video playback issues, various other bugs with photos and internet, as well as call dropping, which is being handled thru AT&T, and i have to say I'm left extremely disappointed as a consumer who has experience working for AT&T corporate and who has been in sales and customer service for nearly 20 years. If anyone is interested in helping me, I welcome anything you can do, be it advice or even help getting my hands on what was an integral part of my decision to purchase this phone. I'll be checking back, thanks!

Registered friday and getting it Wednesday, thats fast
 
I preorded through BB on 3/30. Picked up @ 11:00 AM 4/21. Registered via my S8 by 12:00 EST the same day. Got the generic "under review" email within 24 hours. Then on 4/22 I get the first of 2 emails saying i didnt submit my receipt. Resubmitted on the 22nd and today(24th). After both submissions I got the same email stating no receipt and they couldnt approve my submission. After 2 calls and 4.5 hours on hold total today, i talk with a rep who confirmed the App didnt submit the original pic but both online submission show my preorder and instore receipts and she sees no reason it shouldnt have been accepted. She opened an escalated case and a rep will be contact me to remedy this. I already have a "gift reservation number" but she was unable to tell me if id still get the $99 deal. She stated the rep may give me another gift if they cant honor the $99 one. Sorry for the long read

They were sold out of the $99 bundles late 4/20 to early 4/21.
 
I was able to choose it on 4/21. They removed the option before 4PM EST on 4/21 as my friend was also able to get in around 3:30
 
So I ordered the $99 bundle on the 20th.

No ship email or update email.
Bank account shows it as "pending"


Was hoping for some type of email today.

So by the time I even got my phone delivered the afternoon of 4/21 the $99 bundle was already sold out, even tho a Samsung rep promised me there were plenty to go around and not to worry about anything when I raised my concerns about Best buy not getting the phone to us until 4/21. SMH. I'm signing the petition!! The over ear headphones and 256gb memory card bundle was one of the main reasons I went ahead and purchased this phone, and the EXACT reason I went thru Best buy - to get the $100 off to pay for the $99 bundle. Honestly I'm pissed.

I paid for my bundle but so far nothing has shipped. I actually would love for it to wait a day or two. I'll be at Kalahari resort for the next 3 days. And FedEx tends to just leave packages out in the wide open here at my apartment complex. I hate using them for shipping

That rep obviously didn't know what she was talking about. With a limit of 50,000 bundles, obviously anyone would know there isn't going to be enough to go around.

I called Samsung, the rep said that it takes usually 3 business days to ship, so in my case I paid on Friday, it's only been 1 day. He also said that it will be shipped by Wednesday the least and I will be receiving it by Friday. (I told him I'm going out of state next week). I am pretty sure that is the case with everyone that was able to lock the bundle =)
 
Arriving Thursday or Friday would be alright. As long as it's not Tuesday or Wednesday. But since it's Monday and mine hasn't even shipped yet, I'm probably alright.
 
Missed out on that $99 deal so took the other one since I already had the 256gb sd card from my Note 7. 6 - 8 weeks out looks like.

So no surprise, samsung auto rejected my target mobile pre order because its still purchased on the 21st. Don't need this crap, have the samsung support on speaker phone, lets see how many hours their wait time is tonight.
