Registration for "immersive Gear VR experience for $99" - How did it Go

Finally got my Fedex delivery alert email. Delivery set for Friday 5/5. Its about time!

Received phone 4/20.
Registered via App 4/20.
$99 Bundle purchase email rcv'd and made 4/22.
 
I just got my shipping notice, too! Fedex delivery manager says it'll be delivered 5/5 and box weighs 5 lbs. My status hasn't changed yet though, website says gift sent while app says my claim is under review. Hope this means those that ordered and paid before me get their orders now, too.
 
Just got shipping notification. Thought it was due to email I sent Samsung but I see several people got same. They probably were just waiting for more stock to come in.

Hey... I just got my shipping notification! it's coming on Friday. Did you get yours? I am so glad it's finally over for me, I hope your bundle arrives this week as well. BTW no email from Samsung, just Fedex Delivery Manager.
 
Can someone who has it on the way use their info and tell me if the reference number method of checking works. Track by reference on fedex.com and input order number +"-01" ex. xxxxxxxxxxx-01 and then put the zip code and date shipped. I just want to make sure I'm not checking this way for no reason. Thanks.

Still sittin here hitting refresh, like a chump. Paid 4/22, looks like a lot of people who paid on 4/22 are getting it shipped today. Today is the last day for shipping until I would have to wait until monday (shipped to work address).
 
mine arrived today - I actually had no idea the headphones were bluetooth until opening as I am so used to corded. I didn't know these were a hot commodity until checking this thread, but I do agree that was a confusing as heck pre-order; they might as well just not have a promo like this instead of leaving some many people dissatisfied.
 
I don't have them in hand yet, but one of the nice things as I understand about this model is that they are bluetooth, but can also be used as standard wired headphones with included cable. So if batteries die you can still listen to them. Or you can simply use them with a device or setup that say, lacks bluetooth (an dedicated mp3 player perhaps)

Plus, they say that the charge lasts 20 hours. But that info can always be taken with a grain of salt. We will see this weekend.
 
The 20hrs claim probably depends on volume and distance from bluetooth device (im assuming if you use it at edge of range it probably draws more power to maintain signal). Reviews I've read seem to think the 20hr claim is pretty reasonable. Reviews also portray this model in a very good light as far as sound quality goes as well. I'll find out friday when it arrives.
 
I've been lurking around this thread and some over on Samsung. I never reached out to Samsung over the past two weeks and just got my shipping notification.

Preordered on the 31st.
Received on the 19th from T-Mobile.
Sent info for approval on the 19th.
Received approval on the 20th.
Received buy email on the 22nd.
Purchased on the 22nd.
Received shipping notification from Samsung and FedEx today.

It was a great deal for $99, and it made my decision to get the phone. I didn't bother contacting Samsung, as I didn't really think it would make any difference. With promos and free stuff, it is a gamble. Much like Black Friday specials. I don't shop on Black Friday, but if I got something that was a good deal, I would be excited to get it, but not disappointed if I didn't.

Based on following these threads over the past week or so, it seems like they are getting towards the end of the stock and the cutoff may be those that purchased on the 22nd. It seems like once they approved you, it locked in the stock for a period of time and then purchasing it secured your stock.

I'd be interested to see if anyone was able to pay on the 23rd. I haven't run across any yet.

Everyone that got an order confirmation should be good-to-go.
