I just dropped my pre for the arrive hoping the nexus would be out in time, looks like I'm gonna have to jump back to the pre for a week or two though

Easy for the guy that already has the Evo to say... Those of us with tired launch-day Pre's are getting anxious!![]()
I think it will come out May 8th like stated in my previous post...
I'd be willing to bet that it won't be the May 8th date. That is when the Samsung Replenish will launch. Sprint announced that today. They never launch two phones on the same day.
I thought Samsung would have most of their factories in South Korea.
This is just a thought but here is another reason why the Nexus S 4G is late. After the big quake hit Japan, Samsung had to close 3 of their manufacturing plants in Japan. All of those plants made parts for cell phones, and 2 of those plants are in the evacuation zone around the destroyed and leaking nuclear reactors near Tokyo. Ever since that quake, Samsung, Motorola, AND HTC have had problems getting phones out on time all over the world. Betcha that is why our phone isn't out yet. Might actually be something completely out of the control of Sprint and everyone else.
Hope these phones don't have any irradiated parts in them, don't want to be putting anything like that next to my head or in my pocket lighting up the family jewels.:'(
I called Sprint yesterday to inquire about switching to them from T-mobile. When asked what devices I was interested in I told him 2 Nexus S 4G's and and the EVO Shift 4G. He said that if I wanted the $125.00 service credit then I would have to sign up by April 16th and that he could not set me up with the Nexus S until Sunday the 17th. I told him that getting the Nexus S was more important than the $125 and he told me that he could call me anytime on Sunday to set me up. I asked him again to be sure that it was the Nexus S 4G that I wanted and that it would be available for shipping on Sunday. He said yes and set up 9:00am phone time to call me and get them coming. To good to be true? I would think that if it wasn't true then he would have tried to push another device or get a deposit for the Nexus, right?
