Release Date?

Hey it is crazy. I wanted to drool all over that box and phone too....<wipes mouth with paper towel> Apparently Google is very strict about selling the phone the street date and not before. Personally I feel like that person in the commercial about lump sum money stuff - "It's my phone, and I want it NOW!!!"

Any seconds on this motion?

LOL... That is for sure how I feel. I just called Best Buy's national line about that flyer that says 4-24-11 to 5-21-11 and of course the answer was "I don't know what that flyer is about. They don't tell us really anything about release dates". Everyone is so much help these days!

I'm not surprised they have devices in stores, since they will need at least one device for training. I would be surprised if this guy knows what he's talking about. Everything we've heard from sprint/bb employees thus far has been uninformed to say the least. Still, this gives me a ray of hope for a Sunday release.

So let's see, we now have one of us who has seen the box. Tons of us that have bugged the heck out of Sprint and BB. A ton of release date "leaks" for the beginning to the middle of May. Since everyone already knows about this phone, why not just say..."Hey everyone...come on down to Sprint and buy your Nexus S today!!!" Would that really be so hard?

Not trying to add to the depression of this phone not being out yet, but, and i'm not sure why i did it, since everytime i have, i got nowhere, but just got done chatting with a rep online. I asked him about a release date, obviously, and got the typical "it will be out this spring". I kept going with it and then he threw out June 8. 1. This sucks if he's right, 2. Even if he was just messing around, I can't see why a rep would throw out a bogus date, and 3. Has anyone got a date out of any reps online or on the phone? In regards to a member seeing boxes in a store, if that were the case, i'm pretty sure it would be more than 1 store and i'm also pretty sure that a pic would have already been leaked and on the frontpage of AndroidCentral.com by now.

I bet any money Sprint will not release the phone, until middle May. They are getting rid of the instant rebate and going back to mail in rebates. The sales for the Nexus S are going to be bad for Sprint and Google will be going to Verizon or AT&T next.
