I'm just returning my T-Bolt today then and I'll figure out what to do later. I would have been a new VZW customer, but I don't want to be screwed by accidentally falling outside of the 14-day window. If they're not going to at least give us some kind of time frame, I can't afford to take the chance.

Charge is a no go for tomorrow at Costco. :(

6 of them sitting on the shelf doing nothing.

For anyone who has bought a phone at Costco you have a 90 day exchange policy so VZWs 14 day return won't affect you swapping to the charge IF/WHEN it launches.

What bothers me the most is that NO ONE is being given a direct answer. I think it's pretty disrespectful to your customers to just sit on your hands and not, at the least, just send out a press release about the delay.

You know this is Verizon we are talking about, right.:p:p:p Verizon just can't close the deal. Is it a device issue, is it a radio issue, is it 4G issue, or is it just Verizon as usual? This is what concerns me about getting a 4G device right now, I feel like an updated 3G is safer than a 4G, until of course my market gets 4G this summer and the Bionic hits and I am totally not happy or I regret not getting the Charge. Uggggh

I was a TB pre-order as well, gave up after two weeks got my cash back. Bought it on launch day, sold it a month later. Sure I have desire for hot new gadgets, but it just left me thinking its ok and solid HTC gear, but nothing special about the design. The Charge display really makes it rock. Frickin Samsung cheaps out in the most stupid ways, RAM and storage, seriously you could NOT bump it up before production.

I was just browsing through the Marketplace and in the Vcast store the Vcast Video app says "Now available on the DROID Charge". I just thought that was noteworthy.

Also, one other little tidbit. I tried the TB Skype Video app and it won't install on the Charge, which is kinda what I expected. But it was worth a try.

That is odd, but the Skype Video one isn't fixed yet it still has the glaring security hole in it and of course it got pulled out and removed from the marketing materials.

Take the following with a grain of salt as I have.

I went out tonight for drinks with a very good friend who works for big red. When I inquired about the Charge delay being caused by 4g..device issues...etc. He just sort of chuckled and said that he has observed no problems and he's pretty sure a certain hyped white phone caused the issue.

It's awfully suspicious that the white iPhone4 comes out and bamm delay for mysterious reasons no one will talk about.

lol that white iphone is pretty ugly...the other day one of my friends posted on facebook something like..." when i wake up every morning i check my email on my phone, but today i seen an email about my phone....BUT A WHITE ONE!!!"... i told him it was girly and not to get it its a gimmick and iphone5 is coming out soon...he probly bought it...ugh.

i believe your verizon buddy as i cant think of anything else.

That would be typical Verizon when it comes to device launches. Hold up everything for Apple. Its not an LTE phone and unless apple can stick an even bigger battery in their phone I don't see it getting LTE for a while. Every day Verizon loses sales on 4G phones because people want a certain model and decide, hey my current phone doesn't suck so I'll keep it for a while longer.

End of May the new and improved Bionic will drop.

Where are you basing this information on? I was pretty sure all the info we had on bionic release was "Summer."

More and more it looks like im gonna abandon this phone and go for bionic or S2... I don't even care if s2 has no LTE it's a sick piece of equipment.

Rooting and overclocking on either for the win!

Verizon is not holding the Charge back because of the white iphone, just like they didn't hold the thunderbolt back because of the black iphone. That is all just conspiracy theory nonsense. It is far more likely that VZW is having issues with the 4G network and it's effects on battery life and issues switching from 3G to 4G and don't want to add more customers at this time to the growing base of frustrated customers who already own bolts. They probably want to get their ducks in a row before releasing more lte phones to minimize future issues.

Stop making sense lol:)

Wouldn't there retailers be angry if they cannot sell the phone? I do not know how billing works, but if they have to pay for the phone up front and then have VZW tell them they cannot sell it, they have merchandise sitting there that they cannot sell. That would be like Lowes buying Black and Decker drills and having the vendor say sorry you can't sell them.

I am pretty sure they delay was to sell more 3g phones like the Incredible 2 and more iphones. The more people they lock into 2 year contracts the less people they will have using the lte network. After using the phone for a few day I can honestly say there is no problem with this phone and it is ready to go. My phone has been on for over a day with moderate-heavy usage and still is sitting at 40% battery.

Not sure if this means anything to us but I was just over at the Verzon support forums and a lot of people are still having major problems with 4G. Could they still be having too many problems to release a new phone? If this is the case why not just say "hey guys our sh#t is broken right now and we want to fix it before we release a new 4g phone." I would be totally fine with that but instead I sit here like a crazy person checking on the hour every hour for updates. Damn you Verizon! LOL

I got a call this morning from a Verizon rep thanking me for my purchase and asking me if I had any questions about my phone or plan. I was going to ask why the phone that I purchased is not available on Verizons site and when it would show up but I knew what that answer would be.
