Whats the difference if it's 50,000 Droid Charges or 50,000 Thunderbolts ? Makes no sense to me .

I think the thought process is when the thunderbolt released they sold some 200,000k hand sets or something like that. So if they get have of that in 1 or 3 days. It would put a kink in their system if its not ready.

The TB sold 250k in Q1, but only like a 1-1.5 months were in the quarter with TB sales. They could have sold 300-350k had they not dragged their feet.

I'm betting the charge only sells a fraction of what the thunderbolt did. It's a nice phone. But there are a ton more just months away. This is just a filler phone. The real show will be in July and august when the the real next gen phones start to drop. The thunderbolt was hugely anticipated. The charge not so much. Now the galaxy s 2... For sure.

Your right about a filler, and at 299.99 but Like Verizon said no more unlimited data come summer time. And Summer is coming fast. So if you want on the 4g LTE Unlimited train for at least 2 years. You better hop on quick even if its a "filler phone" I still think it will have decent numbers but not thunderbolt numbers and look for the price to drop quickly if they release a few more lte phones before the data plan change.

You can tell interest is dying as the activity has slowed in this forum, as has any launch date rumors.

So true Brian. Are you still enjoying yours? Still thinking about dumping my thunderbolt for the Charge.

Bryan

I still have my Thunderbolt, and my 14 day return window elapsed on Friday. I was hoping it would have launched last week so I could exchange it for the Charge, but that's history now.

The problem is that we seem to have hit a brick wall when it comes to getting any info out of Verizon, Verizon employees, or Verizon retailers. I think we are now at the "just sit and wait" part of the game. Hopefully something will come in the next few days to bring this phone back to life or it may just end DOA because everyone is so sick of hearing about it.

BTW: I am still gonna get one for sure. Possibly the second it comes out. I still really like the phone I just am getting tired of sitting on my hands while I wait for Verizon to figure out what they want to do.

I'm getting frustrated as well. I really don't want the Bolt and am getting more tempting to just get the Dinc2 instead. But I liked the Charge I played with briefly at the Atlanta chargelanding event. I just think it's pretty sad that the "best" network can't manage to release phones that show it off in an effective timeframe.

For me it's the Charge or the DX2 - the dinc2 screen is too small for me even though it is close.

Well apparently the new Bionic hardware has been finalized, Phil posted something to that effect. Looks like the hardcore phone nuts like ourselves will have some idea of the revised Bionic hardware and a possible release before we have an opportunity to officially buy the Charge. And your regular customer is just gonna be confused by having heard about this phone so much and still not seeing it, and probably already chosen something else.

I hate to say it, but this is making the situation for the GS2 looking worse and worse, as I can't imagine Samsung has enjoyed the experience of making devices for VZW.

I'd love to see some info on the Bionic release date... I'd been eyeing that phone for months now...

As it stands right now, I think I'm leaning towards the Charge over the Tbolt... mostly due to the pathetic battery life that people are claiming. I'd like to see the Charge hit the market so we can get some more reviews on this phone, but from what I've read thus far, I think it'll be a great product.

All of that said, if the Bionic is coming within a month of the Charge release, I think I can hold out. Just so many unknowns with upcoming phones and tiered data plans. I might get over my interest in a smartphone all together with the way Verizon is showing off this LTE network.

Not a good sign when the Verizon rep helping you just laughs at your interest in a future device...Though he did mention that this delay makes no sense...and then proceeded to tell me just wait for the Bionic.

I don't know if anyone is following the samsung twitter feed but they've been posting a lot of tips and tricks for the Charge (did someone forget to mention they're not being sold yet?)

I gave up waiting for the Charge and gave up on VZW for now. Went with T-mobile and a G2X. Maybe once Verizon gets their collective **** together when it comes to launching LTE devices they'll win me back. Until then, however, I'm content with my dual-core G2X and HSPA+ speeds.

Charge dissapeared from Big reds site

Wow They arent even advertising the Charge on Verizons website anymore....Hmmmmmm

It was on the main page with the new device rotation, but now its gone. So while its on the LTE page its no longer front and center to generate interest. This could mean further delays.

So Monday has come and gone....everyday that goes by makes it slimmer to get something official for a drop date. Usually Thurs right?
Hope they say something tomorrow.
