the i9000 is the international version of the fascinate...just an FYI

The term is "brick"

Your phone is easily un-bricked by getting it into download mode and flashing the correct Eclair image back to your phone. I've done this for 2 Samsung phones without issue.

Use the most recent version of ODIN as well. I believe 1.8 is out now.

First identify your model and get the correct .tar file image. Get it into download mode.

There are several Youtube videos that walk you through the process step by step.
