[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

Hey briguyy, now that Adrynalyne included the cwm-recovery-all with 2.9, you will not need update.zip. When you got to red cwm did you have the white bitmap error messages on the screen? If so, plug the phone back in with debugging on, and get to the root of the sd card the same way, delete update.zip from you sd card, then flash this MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service in ODIN. Then you will boot directly to the correct red cwm without having to go through blue and hitting apply sdcard:update.zip. If the red you booted to earlier did not have the white bitmap error messages, just go in and delete update.zip and you will be good to go.

Yeah i was getting the white bitmap error messages so i followed your directions and again im in the good. Thanks

Awesome, thank you. So you now have the red cwm without the error messages? DroidXcon is working on a cwm thread and I am trying to help him by gathering as much info as I can so all the correct info is given and all instructions are covered. Thanks again. Sorry to be bothering you like a gallup pollster but I need all the info I can get.

1. You have the right one. Disregard the voodoo portion. We are all using the same cwm. Can you tell me whether or not your red cwm has the white bitmap error messages and have you booted directly to red or did you have to go through blue first?

2. Yes you can just flash it like a patch or a theme. I did not do a cache or dalvik wipe before flashing 2.9 and have had no problems.

1. Yes I go through the blue first. Yes White Bitmap error messages at bottom of screen with red.

2. Awesome I'll download and flash.Do I need to update the kernel as well, or is it bundled?

works fine until i go to gallery... screen jumps

it might be the theme though...

Nevermind its not the theme it jumps bad for me im going back to 2.8

Kernel is included in the ROM. While you are downloading the ROM, before you unplug your phone, after you put the zip file on your sd card, delete update.zip from your sd card, you won't need it anymore. After you do that, turn off usb storage, turn phone off and flash this file in ODIN MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service should only take 7 seconds, put battery back in, DO NOT reboot phone, boot directly to recovery by holding volume up, volume down, and volume buttons until samsung logo flashes for the second time. As soon as you see it flash for the second time, let go, you will boot directly to red cwm-recovery-all, the one without the bitmap error messages. Flash the 2.9 zip from there and once you reboot your phone you will boot directly to that red cwm every time (except for rebooting to recovery from Rom Manager, which we are discouraging everyone from doing for now.) If you long press the power button and go to recovery from that menu or if you do the volume up, volume down, power button thing you will boot directly to the new cwm red without having to go through stock blue recovery. Yay! Thanks to Adrynalyne for including the cwm-all in 2.9.

Just flashed sc2.8v everything went fine, just one odd glitch.

When I try to hide icon labels in launcher pro it doesn't work, asks to restart LP I click yes, labels are still there, go back into settings the box is unchecked. Click no and back out or hit home and same thing. Redownloaded LP didn't help either. Not a huge deal, just odd.

Ha ha, I have the answer thanks to Gunnermike53 because I just did this and it fixed my problem of being able to choose the 3D app drawer. Do you have root explorer?

ok i just flashed supahclean 2.8 via odin and then i see you have 2.9? can i install via cwr red? or is there another way? oh and by the way i flashed the sc 2.8 NOT THE sc 2.8x. thanks

aye I have a whole pocket full of goodies, root explorer included

Umm....you missed a Captain there after the aye......ARRRGHH ye swabbie. Anyway, go into root explorer, go to the dbdata folder, then the databases folder, scroll down to com.fede.launcher (everything in that folder is listed alphabetically) and delete that whole folder. Viola. You may have to reboot after that to get it to take, for me I didn't have to.

Yes, if you are comfortable flashing in cwr you can just flash the zip file in cwr. But before you do that do you get to cwr through blue stock recovery, then get to the red cwr with the white bitmap error messages or do you boot straight to the red cwr without the bitmap error messages?

no blue screen, it goes straight to red, proceed?

Yes proceed, and as an added bonus Adrynalyne has included that red cwm-recovery-all, so even after flashing a new rom which used to cause nonvoodoo people to go back to stock blue recovery, you will always boot directly to red cwm. Just make sure you do not have update.zip on the base of your sd card. If you want to be cautious you can wipe cache partition and then go under the advanced menu and wipe dalvik cache prior to flashing the 2.9 ROM. I did not wipe at all and had no problems.

Hi Adrynalyne,

I loaded 2.9NV earlier this evening and have noticed unprevoked random reboots (3-4 times so far). Nothing real special about my setup, upgraded from 2.8 via cwm red. When it's running, things seem smooth, never had a reboot issue before.

nonvoodoo goes to blue first? huh didn't know that

Not always. Before 2.9 you could be working off of red cwm-all and flash themes, mods, and add ons and keep red cwm-all. As soon as you flashed a nonvoodoo ROM in cwm, the stock kernel in the ROM would revert you back to stock blue recovery. Now that Adrynalyne has included cwm-all in 2.9 our problem is solved.

it actually randomly fixed itself... odd matey!

If you are going to continue to run Launcher Pro I would still follow those steps I gave you. Deleting that folder will ensure that problem doesn't rear it's ugly head again.
