Welcome. Yeah I'm a big fan of LP too ever since DroiXcon, Gunnermike53, and Sheepdog Elite turned me onto it. I was using ADW EX before that.
Ring tones still broken
The ring tones are not named correctly has been this way since after 2.4. I found the stock ones on sonofskywalker3's ftp. My only real complaint with the ROM is that. Very nice work. I moved to 2.9v but may go back to 2.8v as I did not have any real problems with 2.8. What kind of issues are you dealing with in EB16? I can test. I was able to get past the voodoo conversion issue in 2.8 by flashing 2.8v then flashing eb01 voodoo kernel then convert to lagfix then flash 2.8v again.

correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't flashing sc 2.8 overwrite you flashing the eb01 kernel previously since it's packaged with the eb16 one
This is my understanding. EB16 was bundled with SC2.8. You had the option to flash the EB01 Kernel if you wanted to. So flashing SC2.8 "should" also flash the EB16 Kernel at the same time.
Esignature
I am running 2.8 and wanted to move to 2.9 and when I try to use the recovery process to install 2.9 through the update.zip file it gives me the "Esignature verification failed". What am I doing wrong?

Best to get cwm-recovery-ALL.zip which is RED recovery.
If you have the Update.zip in the root of your SD Card delete it
Use Odin to Flash cwm-recovery-all.tar
Make sure you get the one for Odin. You cannot use Odin to flash the .zip version in that link.
I got to RED CWM, and selected the SD Card zip to apply, then I get:
Installing: SDCARD: Super_frankenclean_2_9_nv.zip

You lost me there. None of that makes sense. When you got to cwm red you should have chosen install zip from sd card, then choose zip from sd card, then you would have scrolled to the 2.9 zip file. Are these the steps you took?
I just flashed 2.8 yesterday from stock touch wiz 2.1. Now 2.9 is out, what is the difeerence between voodoo and non-voodo ROM?

et al... That seems to be the problem... bad download... the second zip file is loading just fine... sorry for the panic call... I've just never CWMed before!

Voodoo is just a file partitioning system. You have to be careful when going to voodoo from nonvoodoo because there are more steps to be aware of, and if you don't know what you are doing, it is easier to bork your phone in voodoo. Sheepdog has an explanation of voodoo in post #6 of his thread here:

No problem it was just confusing because the terms you were using were not the actual terms of the choices in red cwm. Once you use cwm once or twice you will have the hang of it. It is pretty simple to use.

Success Nitrodark version 2.3 successfully on my fascinate.
Sweet. I've stuck with 2.2 because I don't use those extra widgets and I don't want the theme to be too dark. I've also put back in the black and green market because I didn't like the all black market. I may even try going back to 2.1. But yeah, no problems for me yet on sc 2.9. It is a rock solid stable ROM. Also try to post any info about success with themes in Jaekar99's theme thread. The info will help everyone going to that thread in deciding which theme to use, and we shouldn't clutter up Adrynalyne's thread with chit chat or issues that are not related to the superclean ROM. Good to hear NitroDark is working though.
Well, last night right before bed I upgraded from 2.8 to 2.9. I have beautiful widgets installed. I went to bed probably at 11, to wake up to no alarm. Luckily I got up only a few minutes late. When i turned on my phone to see what time it was, it said 12:59 am then jumped to 6:20am, the correct time (I was supposed to get up at 5:50). I read that beautiful widgets was the likely culprit. Needless to say, I just un-installed it. Don't need an app to get me in trouble at work 
Just a thought, but does anyone else think it would make sense to have a separate sticky for "ROM Flashing How-to and Help"? I think it would greatly help reduce the number of pages in a thread like this and make it more manageable.
