I see a lot of issues reported that not everyone sees running the same version. when I see issues like this on my phone I figure too many flashes to either replace and or overwrite existing files can cause havoc.

I use a stock DI01 flash to get the phone back to stock. Then I flash the latest SC 2.x I want to use and usually everything works out.

Adrynalyne! You're a rockstar! I (as a noob) finally got everything working and flashed the voodoo version, loving it so far! keep up the good work!

p.s. If you see a rockin dialer that is in the same basic theme as the new messaging that you have on here, could you send it my way? Everything is working great, just wondering about making it a little cooler/darker looking. thanks again!

That would be awesome! I backed up my SD card to my PC, formatted the SD card, Odined CW ALL to it last night, did the Factory Reset and then flashed 2.9.1 through CWM last night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that fixed my issue. If not, then a running log would be helpful to post here as I scream for HELP!

Edit: Well heck. I no sooner went back into my bedroom to get my phone and it was on the 'sleep of death'. I'm thinking that maybe I need to try flashing a different theme, since so many of ya'll said if we flash another theme, it would eliminate it. So i'll give that a try.

Well, i hate to say this too quickly for fear of jinxing it, but I found the patch that...I forget who it was that put it out, but is supposed to fix the SoD issue. Seems that it worked for me (so far). I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I downloaded the new update and now. My dame. Gps suck!!! I downloaded the gps aid and it did some cool stuff but. My gps still can't lock on the last build the gps worked good. For me. But there was a problem with the audio when you plug in anything... it would play. But when u. Pull it. Ans. Later plug it back in the. Sound won't play. But when u pull the cord out again the music will play on the phone speakers. Again tube music thing was on the last build not this one...! Now its this dame Gps Crap. Ahhhhh!

A little more detail about your setup would be helpful. What ROM are you running and how did you install it?

Check if you have Google Location Services enabled in Settings/Location and
Ssecurity? If it's not enabled, enable it and try again.

My GPS was not working very well on SC 2.9.1. It was like going back to DI01 where you had to do tricks like reseting AGPS to get it to find Satellites.

It was suggested to me to try the the DL09Modem and when I changed to DL09 GPS started locking on right away even inside.

You can search on DL09modem.tar to find the link and I'd grab EB01modem.tar to go back if you don't get improvement with the DL09 Modem.

My GPS worked great on 2.8. So not sure what happened but DL09modem fixed it for me.

I finally gave 2.9 a try. Honestly I don't like it. Perhaps I haven't given it enough time but I will be going back to stock. Just not my cup of tea.

If this thing finally works, I think I'm going to LOVE 2.9.1. by this time on the deodexed version of the leak, My battery was dead. Now, it's only at 65%. Nice!!

I should have been more specific. I guess I am just a fan of touchwiz. The biggest thing is the viberate being changed for me. Also I prefer the old pull down settings.

Dude, you can keep 2.9.1 and install the touchwiz interface. There is a link to download it on the first page of this forum. I also preffer TW over the launcher that came with 2.9. I installed TW and now I have a win win combination. My 2 cents.

I've had a few FC lately. Not a huge deal, but 3 of them were with Google Maps. Any ideas? No problems locking within Maps.

OK, so I took my phone from EA28 to EB01 Full Bloat version then to SC 2.9 (no-wipe) then added the 2.9.1 patch and everything works great!

Last night, I took my wife's phone from EA28 straight to SC 2.9 (wipe version) works great. But when I try to add 2.9.1 patch the phone freezes on reboot with the white SAMSUNG logo. Anyone know what is going on?

Between each operation I made sure to wipe cache and Dalvik.

Not experiencing any FC's or anything, but it just freezes every time I try to flash 2.9.1 through CWM. Should I load the CWM ALL and then re-try? Currently the old CWM Red is on her phone (shows the errors in white text on the bottom of the CWM main menu).

Update: After flashing CWM-ALL to my wifes phone with Odin, re-booting, then flashing 2.9.1 through CWM-ALL everything works great. Must have been a CWM problem. Thanks, Droid.

mms pics and video not showing up on my phone

Have an issue with my phone, currently running 2.9 SC. My wife went to send me a video from her phone. It shows up as downloading when I look at my messages.

I had her send me video and pictures, and all the same result. I reloaded the modem EB01, and now it shows up as if I can play the video, but it shows up almost like it's 10 frames that don't move, and knowing that the video is 300k on her phone, it shows up as 76k on my phone. The pictures and videos that show as downloading show up as 30k

Thoughts?

I'd hate to roll back and update stock to chase down a bug with Verizon. The attached images show the "downloading" message which has been there all day and doesn't allow me to do anything when I short or long press on the bubble. And there is the bubble with the image and the play button, but that's the one that shows up as what appears to be either 10 frames or merged messages and with no actual video.

Having already talked with DroidX, I thought to stop by here.

I tried SC 2.9 for almost a week. I flashed to the stock debloated froyo last night, and so far so good. Battery is the same though....draining a bit faster than usual. I switched because SC 2.9 seemed a bit laggy for me. When I'd make calls it wouldn't allow me to hang up. My friend called me, but I never got the call. The screen brightness would adjust itself, even though I had unchecked auto brightness. And with some apps I couldn't add them to the home screen with a long press. I had to add them by long pressing my home screen, then going through the widgets list.

Weird bugs I'm having

I'm on super clean 2.9.1 and theres two bugs that are driving me nuts! first off because its the more annoying one, I always have to hit my soft search key twice for search to pop up. The fist time I click it the phone vibrates but nothing happens. I like to use vlingo voice actions routed to my search key but lately I just get frustrated . Second: sometimes upon unlocking my phone google search randomly pops up with out me touching anything. I hit the power key and slide to unlock and bam theres google search. I had the same problems with 2.8. Any ideas?

Wifi ON = Data Off?

So I loaded SC 2.9.1 voodoo, all works great but one weird thing. If I turn Wifi on, data turns off.....what did I do wrong?

thats the way it works on every phone if data is coming from wifi, it cant come from 3g at the same time
