You need to go one step further.

1) Go into recovery via hitting the power button

2) Select Recovery

3) This should boot into a Blue Recovery screen. Apply update.zip

4) This should boot you into CWM Red - install zip from there

5) Don't forget to wipe the cache/dalvik cache

Can't tell you how excited I am that I can explain this to someone else, since I just did mine yesterday!

Is anyone else having an issue with Launcher Pro and FC on reboot? Its not a huge deal it FC and then everything is fine... I have gotten used to it but I know its not right. Running SC 2.9.1 with Midnight/Steel Blue for 2.9. I have had the problem since i came from SC 2.4

*Edit* I was just lookin on xda at BigLoof's Steel/Blue theme page (cuz I am anxiously checking for the Red version of this theme) and he does not have a 2.9 version. So I am running Midnight/Steel Blue 2.8

Also the girl friends Fascinate does not do this... but I also havent been flashing roms and themes like a mad man on hers. She is on SC 2.9 PurpleMyst theme.

My Launcher Pro does the same thing. It started with stock froyo and continues with SC 2.9.1 for me. And you are right on, it will FC once and then acts fine until I reboot the phone.

Just loaded 2.9.1 today. So far so good. Came from stock debloated/deoxed. Used the flash with Clockwork method.

Quick question, if I decide to load the TouchWiz back on and use the Home Launch app (think that's what it's called) will the two be running at the same time with only one visible obviously? And would it cause more memory use and battery drain?

Haven't decided which one I like the best yet.

Tried that and still got a vib (wait for it... wait for it) vib, vib... FC Launcher Pro again.... On a side note should one do the fxpms when we flash a rom?

I guess wuts strange is how the girlfriends phone isnt doing it. We are both running SC2.9 and both using LauncherPro... the only diff is she went from stock to SC2.9 where mine has kinda stumbled along the way.

Oh well I can live with the FCs like I said everything seems to be fine after that.

That is the issue in my opinion. When I go flash happy I get odd FCs or problems booting up.

It is easy to back up your stuffs and start from scratch. Flash the stock setup found in the stickies. Boot the phone to make sure all is well. Then shut back down flash CWM Red through Odin and boot to recovery flashing SC 2.9 and SC 2.9.1 patch. Then boot and put back LauncherPro. I bet you won't have the issue.

im having this as well. dont use search much so i never noticed it.

Hmm have any clue about the random search window popping up when I unlock the phone. I can never repeat this but it happens very randumbly lol. Yes I made that word up. It felt right.

HEY ADRYNALYNE!!!!

I've been on stock Froyo since about 1 week after it got leaked out. I just put SC 2.9.1 (Nonvoodoo) on the phone yesterday. HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP is my phone faster. What a world of difference you've made. Again... my phone is the way the hardware geeks at Samsung meant for it to be (before the software geeks got a hold of it and dorked it up).

Thank you for this. I installed with no trouble. I do want to put Touchwiz back on however. I was following instructions from another thread but it's not working.

I copy the eb01_touchwiz.zip file to my SD card and do the recovery boot. The only option wants to install a file called update.zip. If I try that is errors out saying either it can't find it or "signature verification failed".

What am I doing wrong?

you need to install clockwork recovery then flash it from there
in the link below there are instructions on installing CWM ALL and there is a section on how to flash a zip. although , how did you get superclean without it?

Not sure, but adrynalyne is good enough to offer a bunch of the stock apps as flashable .zip files to augment SC

Oh I'm aware, and that's what I've been using up til now. I'm just curious if its possible to modify SC so that its all in one package. And just so we're clear I'm not hating on Adrynalyn's incredible work, I just wanted to skip the extra step of installing individual .zip files.

hey adrynalyne. noticed a bug. i was picking a custom ring tone and i accidentally hit phone sound instead of ringtone and my contacts forced closed. went back and checked, it does it on every version of superclean all the way back through the dl30 builds. i dont know if anyone acutally uses phone sounds for a ringtone, i just happened to stumble on it. you may wanna remove that option for future builds. its not a big deal, just dont select phone sound and it wont force close. just thought i would report it.
