Hey any of y'all having a problem with facebook force closing it was working not today its doing it on mine and my wifes phone thought it was fix after I downloaded the update but started back now so I have no clue I cleared everything and still doing it.

have you flashed a theme? have you wiped dalvic? fixed permissions?

how to quick adb helps you set up an adb connection and commands to use, it just cuts out the need of downloading all the sdk tools

He was suggesting I use ADB to run a log (I think it was log cat) to see why my phone kept dying, or go to the "sleep of death". I asked about how to do that. But since I couldn't wait today, I'm wiping my phone, and downloading 2.9.1 and will flash it through CWM

I just rooted/flashed for the first time so pardon me if this has been asked before, there is just a lot of pages here to look through. I flashed superclean 2.8 froyo but now I'm wondering how/what kernel should I put on for best battery life?

Here is the answer I gave you 8 minutes later:
Unless your phone is going from a full charge to getting ready to die in less than 5 or 6 hours, just stay where you are. Battery life is a known problem with the EB01 build and there isn't much we can do about it until the official Froyo release and the devs can give us custom and undervolted kernels.

And here is your reply to my answer:
Cool and now I'd like to flash a theme when I get home. Do you just keep pushing the files to the sdcard and loading them through cwr or are you supposed to delete them? I can see memory being an issue after flashing many roms/themes.

You can check out this thread and see if any of the methods in there work for you, but you are probably not going to see a huge difference in battery life with them:

If anybody else has any better answers feel free to chime in. Battery life is a known issue on EB01. We are pretty much stuck with it for now.

oh thats simple ill add it to how to quickadb but if you are interested in doing it
from prompt

adb logcat -d


then you can copy and paste whats on the screen,,, maybe later tonight ill do a write up on how to do this and have a file created directly from adb

on the new build i am having trouble with the yahoo mail system the password is correct and the imap setting is correct also the port is 993

Battery life has been great for me on 2.9.1. It is lasting 50% longer compared to 2.6-2.8 and even 2.9.

If you want to improve your battery life, get rid of your widgets and turn down the frequency that programs update. I can easily get a full day on 2.9.1.

I am at 12h31m since unplugged and I have 51% remaining. I don't think the battery life could get any better.

I have been running 2.9 for 4 days and it is great. At least 25% better battery life than my wifes fascinate and it is faster than hers too. Thanks to all that developed 2.9 and all that help us new guys.

I bought this great car dock on Amazon but the manual says it only works w/ Froyo. I thought, "no problem" I'll get it to work after I root the phone and eventually upgrade to 2.2.
Even with the latest update 2.9, I still can't get the aux jack to work on the car dock. The power plug works fine, but the phone still defaults to speaker phone for music, phone calls, etc rather than playing through the dock's integrated aux. out port.

That would be awesome! I backed up my SD card to my PC, formatted the SD card, Odined CW ALL to it last night, did the Factory Reset and then flashed 2.9.1 through CWM last night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that fixed my issue. If not, then a running log would be helpful to post here as I scream for HELP!

Edit: Well heck. I no sooner went back into my bedroom to get my phone and it was on the 'sleep of death'. I'm thinking that maybe I need to try flashing a different theme, since so many of ya'll said if we flash another theme, it would eliminate it. So i'll give that a try.

Hi there. Upgraded to sc 2.9 last night. Phone is now running very slow and draining battery. I was getting fc with e reader? I reinstalled 2.8 and it seems to be better. Know of any reasons why that would happen?

I downloaded the new update and now. My dame. Gps suck!!! I downloaded the gps aid and it did some cool stuff but. My gps still can't lock on the last build the gps worked good. For me. But there was a problem with the audio when you plug in anything... it would play. But when u. Pull it. Ans. Later plug it back in the. Sound won't play. But when u pull the cord out again the music will play on the phone speakers. Again tube music thing was on the last build not this one...! Now its this dame Gps Crap. Ahhhhh!
