[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

Question: A few days ago I rooted and flashed for the first time without any problems. I flashed SC 2.9.2nv and it has been running great ever since. I have also successfully flashed a theme since then without any issues. However, I attempted to flash another theme and got several fc's after reboot. I restored my backup I created prior to the flash and everything is running great again. I then began to try and find out what went wrong and noticed that my baseband and build are different.

Baseband is ea28 & Build is eb01

Thought they should both be eb01?
So, is this something I should worry about or leave it alone since I am having no problems? If it does need corrected, is it just a matter of flashing the eb01 kernel through cwm?

Thanks very much for any guidance with this.

Edit: disregsrd, figured it out. Just used odin to flash eb01 radio. All is fine.

SC 2.9.2 is amazing! dont rush him, if he is making one than he wants it to be as stable as possible before throwing it out here.

It's really nice. Lots of good tweaks.

I personally don't see what else he could do to it for a substantially better experience.

Any complaints from anyone?

I woke up in the middle of the night to find my phone EXTREMELY HOT and stuck on the loading screen. I wonder what happened...

hello.

i flashed to the stock 2.1 and the flashed with SC 2.9.2

so far two things are not working.
1. Exchange email
- setup works fine but it doesn't populate any emails for me
- exchange email works fine with 3rd party applications
2. Flash support for browser.

has anyone run into this issue? if so, what are the steps for me to take in order to get these issues resolved?

thanks all.

Quick question and I apologize for it's simplicity - I really did try to search and if it's blatantly obvious I apologize again.

I'm currently running SC 2.9.1 nv and flashed the EC10 Kernal and things are working great! A few minor instances of bugs popping up but I don't know that I'd blame SC.

I love being fully up to date -

1) Is there a compelling reason for me to upgrade to 2.9.2?
2) Can I flash this on top of my current ROM and not have to restore apps and data? Is that frowned upon? (I know I need to clear the caches)

Thank you - I'm getting the hang of this, but I'm not at the point where I am confident enough to jump around from ROM to ROM. (I'd of course fully backup everything before attempting anything)

Dont have to aplogize were all here to help answer your questions. For me there was no real compeling reason to upgrade i just read what adrnalyne had posted and wanted the latest greatest
2.92

--Full rom again.
--Based upon EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10
--Contains EC10 kernels, with fake hotspot monitoring module.
--Some framework reworked to remove what I believe to be the LAST of Bing.
--Auto restore of apps should no longer happen (nor is possible).

And if you flash it wont wipe your apps /data ( at least it didnt for me) so no need to worry about restoring anything

If you just flashed one of the lastest EC10 Kernels from source you probably will have to reflash that after 2.9.2 because the EC10 that is included with 2.9.2 is not the latest from source.

Hope that helps you out.

Not probably, you will have too.

Random bouts with the "Sleep of Death".

My "phone app" FC/Crashes randomly now while on calls since upgrading to 2.9.2 a few weeks back. After the call ends I still see the "in call" icon in the notification strip at the top. The only way to get rid of it is to reboot. Doesn't happen all the time, a handful of times a week.

Standard (not exchange) email doesn't seem to sync with any type of regularity (gmail works fine as always).

Soft press on search button has random results-sometimes results in a Google search, sometimes nothing. Another strange thing with the browser, when I do get to google's search page, I start typing something in the search bar, and after a few characters or 1 word, the browser starts scrolling down the the bottom of the search page to yet another search bar. Happens all the time, don't quite understand that (hasn't happened on previous versions of SC NV)!

Battery life is so-so....yes I have done all of the resets, wipes and steps for batt stats.

Still a great point to be at from where it appears Samsung/Verizon has left us abandoned, but these are the bugs that still seem to exist at current. Wondering where the the raw developer packages with the real Froyo are, since most of the other Galaxy S versions seem to have it by now....?

Hey there nghthawk. Haven't seen you around in a while. Have you seen this thread about the "sleep of death" problem? http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...-trouble-sleep-death-eb01-superclean-2-x.html
It's a bit of a drawn out process, but people are reporting success with it getting rid of SOD.

As far as the email sync, many of us have found that to be a problem with the stock email program not the ROM. A lot of people, myself included, have switched to K-9 mail and I have had no problems since. Polls and syncs email much more regularly.

Haven't seen the problem you are describing. Sounds like something related to the instant function where Google starts searching for results as you are typing. Just below the search window, turn off instant if it is on and see if that is what is happening. Other than that I will play around with it a bit to see what you are describing. Is this with the stock browser or another browser like Dolphin or Firefox?

For battery life have you tried one of the new EC10 based kernels that have been released in the past two weeks? They are great on battery life because they are undervolted. You can find them in post # 4 of Jaekar99's thread HERE

Is SuperClean a Sense ROM/Boot Animation

Hello everyone,

i recently got SuperClean 2.9.2 with the help of DroidxCon and im just curious as to if its considered a "sense ROM". Im trying to download this boot animation which says that it must work with a sense Rom because it requires sound and not an asop ROM. I believe i know how to follow the procedure to do this just wondering if i install this, will it mess my phone up?

Superclean is a Touchwiz based ROM, not a sense ROM. Which boot animation are you trying to download and from where did you get it?
