[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

No I've had the rom for a while. When i go to add a google account is says this account is already on the phone. and then nothing about backup assistant shows.

I see, well do you have root explorer or any any file explorer with root access? Try pushing the APK to system/app and make sure to disable read only. Other than that I you can try reflashing 2.9.2 again to see if it shows up?

Just tried that; no go. That's alright I suppose I could just export them to the sd or something.

Weird. I just now saw the backup assistant symbol on the top of my phone and it said backup complete. First time I saw that since I've flashed, it must have been putting the apk on that did it, but I still can't set it up under setup wizard. Niceee, thanks.

So I just flashed to SC 2.9.2, but then did a factory reset...when it prompts me to add my Google account credentials, it just says "Sorry...Your username and password do not match. Please try again." Is there a secret to get my account back on there?

Never mind...I forgot about the 2-factor authentication and that I'd need to regenerate an application-specific password for my phone.

I'm running SC 2.9.2 and using the clock weather app Beautiful Widgets. It seems like once or twice a day it loses its settings, and I have to go tell it to use geolocation again, and which clock skin. Is this just me with this bug?

EDIT: I deleted the BeautifulWidgets folder from the SDCard/data and reinstalled BW and "knock on wood" it seems to be working again.

I can't remember if anyone has reported that specific bug, but I do know a few people have reported bugs with BW. BW was also found to be the cause of some force close issues with superclean. I have had no problems with BW though, so I'm sorry I can't be of more assistance.

just flashed this using droidxcon's pack with odin.

i was trying to update to the latest swype and that requires me to uninstall current swype and swype installer. but i can't uninstall swype (settings->applications->manage applications); the "uninstall" button is not highlighted / cannot be selected.

anybody else have this issue?

edit: lol nvm. just uninstalled it using titanium backup.

You have to use a file manager like Root Explorer or Astro Manager, both available in the market. You use them to go into the system/app folder and delete the swype.apk

To add on to sharky's post you also need to delete libSwypeCore.so from system/lib and com.swype.android.inputmethod from data/data before pushing the latest swype to your phone.

Thanks Captain. I forgot about those steps. I think there's a third one that will block the install of the new beta. Let me find it.

Nope, I can't count. Those are the three:
system/app/swype.apk, /data/data/com.swype.android.inputmethod, and /system/lib/libswypecore.so

i recently switched back to superclean from MIUI. in the MIUI alpha ROM, there were issues with the Camera. when i switched back to superclean 2.9.2 the video camera was working again, but no audio is recorded. do i need to odin back to fix this issue? Or is there a camera APK out there I should use to replace the existing camera APK?

edit: resolved camera audio recording by odin back to djo5, all good. :)

If you wanted to go back to SC 2.9.2 you can fix the audio recording issue. I assume you used the voodoo kernel. Go into voodoo sound control -> recording preset -> and check original

voodoo sound for audio input is still broken as far as I'm aware

To quote Sam Elliott in Roadhouse - "I'll get all the sleep I need when I'm dead." :D:p

EDIT - Although I am dragging pretty hard today after only 3 and 1/2 hours of sleep last night.
I'm beginning to think you are nuclear powered....
