Sad to say because I like the phone (look/feel), but I think I'm going to return the Nitro HD.

Wow ... I can't believe the horrid battery life with this phone. I've had it for 4 days now. I can't make it until lunch with minimal usage (on wifi) and in a non-4G (EDGE) area.

Also, I wanted to use it in the car as a GPS with Maps to get directions the other day. With it plugged in using a car charger, it STILL lost battery life! I couldn't believe it.

What is going on?

That, coupled with LG's non-committment to ICS (Android 4.0) leaves me little choice.

The reason it wasn't charging was the phone was using more power than the charger was providing.

That's what I figured ... and that is just CRAZY.

Not really. If the screen is on, navigation is running, plus all the other processes, your phone is going to draw more power than the charger can provide. Getting a new car charger should help.

It's a brand new car charger.

How many amps outputs it. The stock charger outputs 1.5 amp. Most of usb car charger can output 2.1 amp. Make sure you use that one. I am crusing through town streaming radio, using nav and charging just fine.

I'll check - only because I'm curious. However, I think that I've made up my mind to return the phone. Battery life in general is just horrific.

This was my first venture to Android ... I wanted to experience it, but it is good thing that I kept my iPhone 4 in a drawer.

I get through a day with no problems with battery. Last long enough to watch a good hour or two of netflix before I go to bed.
