I' m ready to upgrade to the galaxy 3, I rooted my Optimus to reborn rom using razzmatazz step by step guide I did an nandroid back up after updating from zvc to zvd and rooting. Would restoring the nandroid back up put my phone ready for ota updates from sprint? Do I need to remove the root also?

No u don't need to unroot it I don't think, but it wont be rooted once u get the zvj update if that is what u are looking for. U need the stock recovery too if u want to install any of the ota updates too.

I'm bout to do the same thing later this week. except I didn't make a nandroid backup in the beginning. I should be able to use the Root install package i downloaded (since it does come with a unroot function) to go from cm7 to stock right?

I installed the stock rom from sprint, baseband zvd form the update.zip file, now it shows android 2.2 in the about phone section, but I can't get to upload the zvj update, it gives me upload error. I shut it off and removed the battery but it does the same. Any suggestions?

Update**********
Ok, I went into recovery mode again using home-volume down-power button and took me to the stock recovery screen (good) I re-installed the update.zip from my sd card and now it uploaded the LS670ZVJ update.
Did automated install of the zvj file (Still getting the reborn rom splash screen) Now I have the android version 2.3.3, sw version LAS670ZVJ.
Looks like I'm up to date with the phone, except for that reborn rom splash screen, how do I get ride of it?
Thanks
