I'll say this.I owned a Samsung Fascinate and loved it.At times it was very temperamental and had it's quirks and short coming's.The Rezound seems to be a work horse with all around functionality!..My needs are streaming Pandora and Tune in..,browsing ESPN ,Googeling search info,typical guy stuff,throw in a little porn..lol..the Rezound is fast,great music and camera!!...If you want to be a biff and show off your phone then the Samsung could be for you!...The rezound in my book could be described as Budweiser(i love it and can drink tons of it)!!...Maybe the Samsung is Heinekin and while it may be nice to drink...you can't pound it...lol...Thats my humble observation!!!

Here's my 2 cents...
HTC phones have terrible battery life *because* of sense. it's so resource intensive it's impossible for it not to be hard on the battery. that said, sense is wonderful and adds some really cool functionality. It also makes android look more cohesive. ICS makes sense obsolete, because it brings the functionality and beauty without the bloat.
also, I've wanted a nexus device since the G1 (which, like some, I think of as the precursor to the nexus line) and have never had an opprotunity because i'm pretty much stuck with verizon. So I choose the galaxy nexus on principle.
It'll be interesting to see how the skinned androids look and work with ICS.

I can get any Big Red phone now at the two year price and still love my DINC.

Sense doesn't bother me, and to be honest is the best skin out there from Manufacturer's.

Why do I like the Rezound?

1) HTC > Samsung IMHO. Samsung phones have always stunk (Im talking flip phone days)
2) Removable Memory
3) Don't like how the review had some live wp that were lagging
4) I don't want a phone that will IMHO end up with an internal battery along with storage and resemble an iphone.

the fourth is an assumption, but I don't want devices going that route!

Frankly, I think that Samsung produces much cheaper feeling phones than HTC. It's not that they couldn't go toe-to-toe, but it's instead their design language. HTC opts for aluminum, unibody designs, while Samsung goes for high-quality plastics to be as light as possible.

HTC, Nokia, Apple, and some of Motorola's devices are usually the devices with the best build quality and materials. Samsung is up there in build quality, but they do tend to use light plastics.

I'll take top of the line hardware (samsung) over better build quality (htc) ANY day of the week. Yea, htc's phones have a good build quality, but their inner parts and hardware in general in NOT impressive compared to samsung.

HTC's may feel good in the hand and use nice materials for the cases, but they don't seem to have very good build quality. It seems that their tolerances are looser than most manufacturers, most of the people that I have known with HTCs have problems where the fits between parts aren't very good, also I have not heard of another manufacturer that puts out more phones that have had manufacturing defects than HTC,

YOU are completely deluded buddy. There is NO device out right now that can stack up next to the nexus. End of story. I'm sorry, but htc uses cheap hardware buddy, and that is all there is to it. There is a VERY good reason google chose samsung 2 years in a row and allowed them to put their "galaxy" name in with their flagship device: google realizes that samsung makes the very best hardware ( hardware does NOT = build quality, I mean actual hardware), and google has publicly stated that they want a deeper partnership with samsung. I wonder why? Why isn't google courting htc if they are so awesome as you say? You need to wake up.....and go to the rezound forums. Maybe you can get them to believe your unfounded, unsubstantiated opinions. And maybe they will find the relevance in the completely off topic, weird stuff you're spewing. *shows Poopai the door*

Some of you are killing me lol. HTC crapy phones? lol this is getting ridiculous. Call out the specs on the Rezound, but then when benchmark results prove it and the Nexus are pretty even, you say your talking about real-wolrd experience.

I can't wait for the Nexus to launch, i still may get it, but some of you are acting like iPhone fanboys. Just because it's a Nexus doesn't make it perfect. It's gonna have issues just like every other android phone.

This is what im talking about. HTC is one of the best hardware manufacturers out there. If they made this years Nexus, you would love them, but your so clouded over your love for a phone that your making crazy claims like this one.

I got the Rezound. It's pretty excellent. Could have better battery life, but then again that's just a problem with all 4G phones. Battery life is actually much better than the previous HTC version, the Thunderbolt, and it's actually pretty comparable to the Samsung Fascinate, a 3G phone!

It's also super-fast. No lag whatsoever. The screen is truly awesome - the first android screen that can legitimately say it's better than the iphone.

Really the only reason it's not getting more attention, IMO, is because it doesn't have android 4.0.

Having diversity and options (HTC Rezound, Moto Razr, Sam GNexus) is a good thing, pushes companies to make better phones to compete, and is what makes android great.

I swear this is turning into a 32gb iPhone is better then a 16gb model.

Who cares? I personally just don't like Samsung but at least we have choices and I don't want that taken away from me. I also don't want a flooded market either with too many choices.

I have a simple question(call me a newbie if you will) is there a benefit for not having a sd card slot or no mass usb storage?

Many problems with phones can be tracked to a faulty, corrupt, or improperly seated SD card.The drawback of course is that if the phone is completely dead you cant access and retrieve your files unless they are stored on a removable SD card. As for mass storage I don't believe there is no.

The rezound is the most super leet awesome piece of hardware I have seen EVAR!!! I'm gonna go and buy one right now! Screw waiting around for an optimized, pure android experience cutting edge piece of hardware/software, the rezound has a good camera and an sd card! What was I thinking?!?! Thank y'all sooo much for opening my eyes to the truth.
