Rezound vs Galaxy Nexus

Dude ur out of touch from reality. So ur saying I'm lying because I don't have signal issues. Now that's a def fanboi. Lol that's video proof of a nexus out performing a rezound. Which proves my point that speed tests vary. And can go either way. Also during that review he doesn't mention signal issues. Hmmm must be a couple of us in this alternate universe. Also, just because it doesn't receive a update doesn't mean crap. The nexus will obviously receive more updates then the rezound ever will. 4.0.3 is already on standby for carrier approval. Your a rare case. The only android user that doesn't like updates. Most people on here embrace them with open arms. Lol

We don't want updates that are just bug fixes. 4.01 to 4.02 was all bug fixes Verizon found correct? We want major updates pushed faster. The change to 4.03 looks mostly to make ICS compatible with more devices, and has more bug fixes. Bug fixes are for beta software, not full releases. And for us who do care about all the bug fixes, we will get all the updates Nexus guys get, because we will root, and flash roms. And I will also put these things on my sd card, after I mount it as a mass storage device, like a normal phone. Then I will take it out, and put another sd card in that is empty, just because I can.

Normal people hate that updates have to come out to fix sim card issues (razr) crappy radio performance (nexus) etc.... They just want things to work.

Go back to the iphone forum and show 'em how big your "screen" is, I'm sure they will want to see it.

Manipulate reality to suit your view, classic. Your comical, how do you conclude I don't like software updates. I love em, I don't enjoy owning a phone in need of maintenance updates just to function at par. How does a phone that has had issues out the wazoo for many owners, in need of software and maintenance updates just to function in an acceptable manner stomp a phone that looks & performs as a near flawless GB build. Just cuz it has ICS, please? You can get every frickin update on planet. I'll be happy to use a phone w/ a clean bill of health, that has no need for maintenance updates every other week. That I will be able to flash w/ ever improving ICS roms in the near future. I spent ungodly amounts in the GN forums pre release, and spent many hours w/ the VGN in hand. I loved the features it brings to the table. If they wouldn't have rushed the release in 2011. I'd own one, they didn't optimize the hardware to meet my expectations, so I passed on it.

As well, you have no idea how the Rezound performs unlocked, debloated, & deSensed. So don't mistake that sense of righteousness of using a Nexus device is a lonely experience for outsiders. What was snappy to begin with, now, flies like a peregrine as it eyes lock onto it's next meal.

At least I'm not the only one that gets this. Now would someone please close this thread?

Don't you see it? Open your eyes, man! Nexus fanboys are the new Apple fanboys! If you close this thread, you need to close down like 30% of AndroidCentral!

But delve deeper, MrSmith. Nexus fans weren't always like this. Only the Verizon Nexus fanboys are like this! We, the Verizon customers, have had a sect lurking within our ranks for years. We could've stopped this before it started, but no. "Good phones are available, to each their own" etc, etc.
I say "hey, this Rezound is pretty sweet. It has a good screen." and get immediately torn down with "dumbass! It has bloat and Gingerbread!"
"I like Beats by Dre." "You corporate marketing whore idiot!"
Google created this wonderful platform, but it also created fragmentation, and the hateful division between versions. It's like, the Matrix, or something, man. We're Neo, and the Nexus' are the agents.
Long story short, you're a double agent by suggesting we close this thread. Traitor identified. Case solved. Rant ended. Fun was had.

LOL, aint that the truth. This is the first time I have ever seen Android users try to claim that no SD expansion is a "feature" and a good thing. It was hilarious. In the past I have only heard that argument from Apple people.

And now everyone will perpetuate the cycle. Honestly the only fragmentation I see in Android is amongst it's users. Everyone unifies under the "Android is the better platform" banner, but that all falls apart per Manufacturer per phone. Because my phone is better than your phone, and you're stupid for not buying what I bought. Ugh....just ugh....

Then I am a rare case too. I like updates that work, and there are often bugs in new updates. Thats why I never update right away. I let other Android users beta test it for me and then install them when I am reasonably sure they will work.

Haha, this thread is comical. Good stuff everyone.

What I want to know is how many of you arguing in here have owned both phones and have first hand knowledge / experience with both phones? Not just tested them in the stores or used your friends, but actually set them both up with everything you need and used them to get stuff done every day.

I know what you mean. Google's answer to complaints like these is "it's the price you pay with an open OS." Unfortunately, I don't see an end to it until we get ICS, which will negate the one feature that they have and bring the trolling to a close (until Jelly Bean, at least.)

Well then it will be, HTC gives us widget X which is better than your Samsung widget Y. Instead of the only valid argument. This phone has hardware X that phone has hardware Y, let's quantifiably measure the performance. And that of course will breed "Manufacturer XYZ cheated and optimized for that app" And then we really will be at the PC Vs Mac or Nvidia Vs ATI level...

It's been brought up before that people seem to identify themselves via their device, and will argue with ignorance in regards to factual data presented to them. I'm really just curious as to why the GN fanboys are coming over here? Is the GN forum too boring?

I feel like we should just really report the GN trolls and ask a mod to close the thread. This isn't producing any useful knowledge other than something we already know, that people who are so invested in a device will actively disregard facts in lieu of their own personal opinion, and that so long as it is sunny outside their own window then it must be sunny across the entire world.

I honestly wouldn't be bothered if the thread were closed. Just voicing my opinion on that matter, now if we could find out how everyone else feels about it...

It's no different than people discussing computer, cars, cameras, guns, politics or beer. Some people are incapable of understanding that while their position might seem best "to them", that others might hold different opinions and feel just as strongly about them.

Obviously people are entitled to think their "whatever" is the best and better than all others, but when they push that belief on others with a closed mind and closed ears, tensions get high and feelings get hurt.

If everyone feels that way, then this thread won't be posted in and will quickly fall out of sight. I'll reserve thread closure for the scenario that we can't get back on track from here :)

Im still up in the air about the nexus,I want the "Pure Google Experience" but I just want a good camera in my phone as well,so I don't know. I took the rezound on a test drive for about a week in a half and didn't like it,so Im lost o my what to do.

I have no doubt that the Rezound is a performer (hardware wise) from the times I've used one, but I wanted a pure Google (non-sense) and quick updates device, and that's the Nexus. (And no, I wasn't about to spend hours of my time searching XDA for ROMS to make the Rezound better. Just don't feel like it. If you're into that and have the free time, then power to you.)

Also the Rezound is a thick, heavy brick IMO, but that was the smallest of my gripes.

No idea why everyone has to heavily debate the two. They're not even really in the same category. Whatever you like, buy.
