I have a ton of ringtones I had built up and saved on my BlackBerry. Is there a way to transfer them to my Droid X?

Ringtones where so easy and massively customizable (notifications) on the BB. Not sure if it is just me being a Android rookie or if Android is not that flexible?

My BB had a ringtones folder I could just save to (or transfer from PC to) and then they would be listed when choosing ringtones. Does the Droid X have similar abilities? I can't seem to find a ringtones folder?

Make 3 folders on your SD card.... Notifications, Ringtones, Alarms.... hook the DX up to your PC in mass storage mode and move whatever you want to the right folder then unhook the DX (or just move it out of mass storage mode) and your new tones should pop up in the tone selection lists.

I downloaded ringo lite which is free from the market, it allows you to assign different tones for contacts, its pretty cool

Did you know that you can do this straight from your contacts list under "additional info" when editing contacts?

I, too, missed the endless notification possibilities of bb, but this thread helped a lot. I noticed that once I started using handcent only for sms, that I automatically could have a different notifier for email and text, that also eased my transition. At the end of the day, I like this os so much better that I miss the little things on bb less and less.
