Robin's LG V10 Thread

Re: lg world

I downloaded 2 themes on LG... How do I load them (AT&T system)...

AT&T has disabled the he ability to use themes from LG. IMO, there is no reason for doing this and AT&T will not give you an answer why. I have already tried. It is kind of false advertising on their site too as they have this listed as a feature on their website.

question about lg keyboard

From time to time it asks me to select keyboard when it's already selected. I love the lg keyboard...

how low do you let the battery Go before you charge it?

I heard 50 percent should be the lowest.

Re: how low do you let the battery Go before you charge it?

Battery university recommends keeping the charge between 40% and 80% as much as possible. That ends up being impractical for many, so a better rule is "charge it whenever you think about it and it isn't inconvenient to do so". I generally don't let mine drop below 20%.

Re: how low do you let the battery Go before you charge it?

How can you tell when the battery is completely charged and the main screen is off? Is there a light or something to look for?

Re: how low do you let the battery Go before you charge it?

I charge it whenever I feel like I won't have enough battery to make it without charging when I'm leaving the house.

Re: question about lg keyboard

How is it asking you to select? Is it a keyboard notification icon in the status bar, or a popup message?

I get a notification in the second screen.

trying out the stock launcher

Other than being able to use the icons I like it's pretty cool

Re: question about lg keyboard

This is a known issue with LG phones. I think the G4 does this too

Re: trying out the stock launcher

I just can't do it. I give every phone a shot at stock just to experience the phone as it was intended.

Then I slap on Adw launcher ex pick a theme I like (it changes every week or two), do some Zooper pro tweaking, add Google keyboard and make the phone my own.

I am with you, change the background picture and I have been pretty happy with the stock launcher. I do use Beautiful Widgets which helps with the gimpy clock on the lock screen and main screen....the stock one is a little lame.

However, if you have a TMo V10, you have access to LG World and they have tons of themes, which include custom icons. Some of them are nice, I've been experimenting with them. If you have an AT&T or Verizon V10 you have to use Nova or something similar, these two carriers disabled the LG theme capabilities to create another "pain point!" GRIN!

Yeah the question is why?

Re: trying out the stock launcher

My understanding is you lose double-tap to lock with non-stock launchers correct? I really like double-tap to wake/lock.

You don't lose double tap with Nova. I am using it now.
