hehe - well the way i'm reading what aero reported was he connected to wifi no problem
using his edify stock kernel version

as far as sipdroid - that guy hasnt checked in today yet
i would test it but i dont even know what it is - lol

To confirm, wifi works great with edify + stock. I just successfully tested voip with GrooveIP over wifi and 3g/2g

the only issue at this point - that i am aware of

is edify versions through the kitchen converter install taking 90mb more space than the amend script versions - both regular and darktremor apps2d mod

i'm sold at this point that i need to manually convert amend to edify after the kitchen converts to edify - so the binary is present

i could pull more bloat out - but - some people wanted it - i guess its easier to uninstall than install for most - still not sure which way to go on that

but at this point - the amend script versions are solid and functional
the edify script versions - free space after install is horrible - but everything is functional

No problems so far with edify (except the space issue). I will continue testing tonight and restore all my "usual" setup. Gotta run to pick up the kid

arhtard my friend I'm going to leave you to it. I think I've given you as much help as I can (aside from doing it myself).

I'll leave you with a couple last pointers - i/o performance on our phone is the biggest bottleneck. Consider including a patched version of sqlite3

Patched SQLITE3(libsqlite.so) for 2.2 and 2.3

On a personal note - my favorite launcher is LauncherPro, take a look at it if you haven't already.

This is a great site for info on our phone. Just be aware that it's very developer friendly, spam and noob questions aren't welcome. The doktor declares himself the site admin from hell, and it's true

Here are a couple of tweaks that I always use. IMO it's the best script you can use.

The one that includes nobarrier is for roms that include an ext partion.
The one without nobarrier is for roms that don't use an ext partition.

Confirmed no wifi issues with ROM-NuDroid-T1L-F-Amend - works GREAT !!!

Final Results with ROM-NuDroid-T1L-S-Edify

WiFi - no problems at all.
TWoS - Occasionally present. Airplane mode toggle fixes this.
BT - Works. Tested with audio and file transfer.
GrooveIP - works over wifi/3g/2g
Tethering - USB/wireless works
Link2sd - works BUT....restored bunch of apps with TB, linked with link2sd. Rebooted and they were gone. Rebooted again and they came back.
Camera/video - works
Not sure flash works, couldn't verify
Netflix - video lags behind audio by 3sec or so
TB - reports 2 instances of car home
After initial install TB reported only 11mb of free "system" space

All for now. Tomorrow I will flash franco kernel and retest.
Overall everything is working great. Smooth operation, no major flaws.

Doktornotor's Android Forum at Doktornotor's Android Forum, I have the feeling that I could just flash the Recovery I need (e.g. AmonRa) and then I can change back to CWM if I need to.

Yes, flashing a new recovery is much easier and safer. The "hard way" only needs to be done the first time.

Ok thanks. By the way, I gave up on the "edify" version. Everything "seemed" to work well, but random glitches would pop up. I switched recoveries to AmonRa, flashed your NuDroid T1D-S, franco kernel, l2sd and it's been smooooth sailing
One thing I miss though is your "Boodah Extras" that were installed on the SD card. Yeah I wiped my sd without backup (facepalm). Anyway you can post a link to that?

edify just wasnt working out with the kitchen.
i don't have time right now to manually create that version.

I was on T1D-S and flashed Franco v19. idk what was up, I ordered a new SD card, A-Data class 6, that should kick some ass for dtapps i'm trying devoid for now but that has some weird issues with pandora.

I'd just like to have to not mess with my phone. say what ya will about apple but atleast it's simple and everything worked out of the box.
