[ROM] [10.07.2011] NuDroid T1D-S [LG-P509] [Froyo 2.2.2]

Re: [ROM] [10.02.2011] Boodoh V2D [LG-P509] [Froyo 2.2.2]

any suggestions on the edify script?
should i just maually go thru and edit the updater script after the kitchen converts it?

Begin the procedure I laid out, what you're seeing with scripting is likely an affect not the cause.

Remember when the system first boots it installs itself, at that point anything goes.

Re: [ROM] [10.02.2011] Boodoh V2D [LG-P509] [Froyo 2.2.2]

i'm using the one from getitnowmarketing

so - this is interesting:

all one rom - nothing changed - using Da2sd mod
cooked with amend - 191mb free
cooked with amend and converted to edify - 132mb free

my head hurts now

is my recovery borked? lol

Download and flash 2.2.1 AmonRa recovery from XDA and test again.

[RECOVERYs][ZIPs][TESTED]Flashable zip recovery files for P500

If you still have probs, try a different recovery like CWM

If you still have problems then describe your build environment, Ubuntu or Cygwin? Version of HTC Kitchen used?

It may be a prob with kitchen, reinstall the kitchen.

I'm sorry you're having so many problems, but we're on to something here :)

EDIT - you included a script. Remove ext partition and don't install d2sd. First version should be as I described in step 1. Virgin rom + kernel = results?

Re: [ROM] [10.02.2011] Boodoh V2D [LG-P509] [Froyo 2.2.2]

Kool just installed ROM Boodoh V2D edify scrip - since I wiped the sd, everything is fast & smooth - so far so good :)

Slight jittery buttons on boot - had to reboot a few times to enable wifi calling. Wifi connected in 3 seconds just after flashing Rom, but when I added a few progs and flashed the ringtone & key zips, it takes forever to connect to wifi...It might just be my setup , but sometimes it will not connect to wifi (seems to lose T-Mobile registration) pull battery and it connect to wifi in less than a minute. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue ??

Quick question: if this is the stock lg kernel, why am i able to oc it? I used the included script to set it at 600-729 interactive. I don't have a way yet to verify if this indeed is true or if the script is reporting bogus numbers, even after reboot.

Testing thus far:

wifi - connected/reconnected no probs
TWoS - yes, it's present
BT - works for file transfer to/fro comp. Have not tested audio/phone functionality yet.
Overall impression - Very smooth and fast. No FC in sight.

Next:

Restore my apps via TB, use link2sd, restore GO LauncherEX

arhtard submitted the edify version a few posts up.

I see that, but others have reported that wifi is working with the amend scripted version.

Have you tried disabling signature verification and flashing the amend version?

arhtard - have you tried manually converting the amend script to edify instead of using the kitchen?

i saw that and rebooted and it was gone - no idea wth

as far as oc the stock kernel - download nofrillscpu and see what its reporting the current speed as
i included the script to allow people who added a kernel the ability
i'm honestly suprised u found that - LOL - gj!

so the edify version worked right? what was free space?

i am changing recoveries when i get home

I have Setcpu now, its reporting 600 max so obviously i did not oc. I'll flash franco once i'm done testing.
YES, edify worked. Free SYSTEM space after install was about 11mb. (according to TBpro)

I wrote up what I've tested thus far a few posts up. :)

11mb is sad - although i didn't remove anything but:

apppack
dinnerdash
doodlejump
drivesmart
pacman
web2gohome

and added 6 apps

did you notice i included flashplayer?

i'm definitely going to have to manually convert to edify - thats messed up

Re: [ROM] [10.02.2011] Boodoh V2D [LG-P509] [Froyo 2.2.2]

I thought you confirmed things were ok using the procedure I laid out last night?

How much did you test at each step, wifi 3g tethering etc. Did you run it through the ringer at each step?

When did the errors appear?

You're killing yourself here, guessing and stabbing at it is not how to approach this. You need to take a systematic approach to this.

Kernel ISN'T the problem, I guarantee that.

Also, WiFi needs to be tested at each step. If you don't have WiFi then this a big prob.

I'm not trying to be mean but you're going in circles. Maybe take a break for a day or two, pull the links and leave a to be continued notice in the first post.

everything tested fine
i couldnt test wifi though - my landlord locked me out of the router
i only included a stock kernel version for those who might want it
everything is fine at this point
aero and tnlobo tested wifi for me - confirmed functional
tnlobo tested amend with francos kernel
aero tested stock edify

i dont want to release anything with edify till i have time to manually convert

Re: [ROM] [10.02.2011] Boodoh V2D [LG-P509] [Froyo 2.2.2]

i only posted a stock kernel version of edify for him to test so people wouldnt be in a rush to download it.
i figured if it was stock - they would leave it - but if i posted a franco version for him to test - people would be downloading

no harm intended

Re: [ROM] [10.02.2011] Boodoh V2D [LG-P509] [Froyo 2.2.2]

So the only outstanding issue is WiFi with edify scripting? How is SipDroid working?

I apologize I thought you were back to thinking that the kernel was an issue :-!
