[ROM] 10/12 - CleanROM *Dev Edition* 1.2 - Performance and Style!

Exchange question here....for some reason I can't see anything in the body of my email when I open it up. Im able to see the text preview when im looking at my inbox but when I open it its blank. Started this recently and I've looked through all the settings and even deleted the account and added it back..same thing. Anyone have any idea's?

Edit: figured it out...issue was with the required pin lock...all fixed up!

Re: [ROM] 9/29 - CleanROM *Developer Edition* - Perfomance and St

So I downloaded and installed this ROM and now my WiFi says error whenever I try and turn it on, I can't even look for networks, and my 4g wont turn on, it will say turning on... and then say off. How do I fix this :'(

Re: [ROM] 9/29 - CleanROM *Developer Edition* - Perfomance and St

Scott, this rom screams, set cpu even says i can set the cpu to 1.8 and some change. Not sure if i'm really getting that full boost though, topping out just shy of 3k on quadrant. and around 80 in linpack.

What the difference between the frequency zips and just manually setting it in set cpu?

even at stock set, this rom flys.

Nice job man.

Yeah, the ROM is fast. No doubt. The ZIPS I made are for people that dont want to use setcpu. They, in affect set the speed manually.

Hey Scott anyway I can get the Bcblend kernal you are using in this edition with the overclocking/capacitive light dimming? I've looked around but can't find it anywhere. Thanks.

Re: [ROM] 9/29 - CleanROM *Developer Edition* - Perfomance and St

Hey Scott, does this version get the same updates as the regular Cleanrom? I would like to use this version... just want to make sure it is not behind the regular version in updates. I have to have the coolest of the cool ya know! lol

Yeah, ummm.... This is still based of CR 2.5.SP1. It does not have the updates Standard 2.6.1 does. Which are farily significant.

Scott, is the updated tiamat kernel on xda the same one included in the 1.1 update? If so, can I just flash that instead of the whole rom? As always, thanks!

Hey scott, Comming from your CR 2.5 i wiped and installed DE. I would get random FC on applications mostly revolveing around super user, or apps that needed SU permisions. I thought it was just corrupt data, and full re-wiped, and re installed DE 1.1, and am getting more or less the same issue.

Any idea?

Thanks.

Fix: It was a su error, removed it, removed al updates, cleared cache and dalvik, reinstalled binary, workes like a charm.

Yep, the new SU being pushed out via market is jacked up! Dont take it if you can!

I got it this AM and even tried to cook it into a fresh ROM with the same issues. He goofed somethign up. IM sure a new one is on the way. For now just block it form updating.

Re: [ROM] 9/29 - CleanROM *Developer Edition* - Perfomance and St

Hey thanks for all of your hard work man.

I have been having a problem the kernal and was hoping you could help.
I tried all four steps but the only one the really works for me is step 2. The freeza kernal is the exact opposite of what I want though, Im in this precisely for the overclocking.

But even when I install it using console, wifi and 4g will not work.
All the steps check out too, its just turning it on and seeing that its jacked up that confuses me lol.

Any help would be great, thanks:)

Re: [ROM] 9/29 - CleanROM *Developer Edition* - Perfomance and St

I did a complete wipe  (I know huh)? Installed this ROM and was getting a whole bunch of FC issues even on standard Sense and Google apps. On install I bypassed the initial Google setup at the beginning (To avoid the onslaught of Google APK'S before I set up my WIFI) and then I could not even get to set up my Google account later due to FC issues. So I again did a complete wipe and install but the whole thing was buggy and I would get a bunch of screens hanging up. I thought maybe my phone could not handle the over clock so when I went in to flash the 1.2 zip I didn't have a cleanRom folder? So I wiped and flashed again, still buggy and a bunch of screen freeze issues and again no cleanRom folder, and no zip files to change the clock speed  SO this time I decided to re flash the kernel only and now everything seems to be running smooth as silk. Funny thing is I didn't have the cleanRom folder until I downloaded the kernel through Rom Updater. But still the clock speed zip files seem to be a very elusive creature, I think they are kinda like Bigfoot, not everyone sees them :p

Ha just got this off xda. Looks like you need to update the instructions over here. Explains why I couldn't find that elusive Bigfoot ;-)

About Overclocking

The ROM is set at a default of 1.62GHZ with Ondemand governing. This provided the best match of performance and battery life.
If you want to change the clock speed or governor you can use System Tuner which is now included in the ROM. Its a great app! If you like buy the full version to support the developer. And why your at it, hit the donate button for me

But what we have for instructions over here are

About Overclocking

The ROM is set at a default of 1.62GHZ with Ondemand governing. This provided the best match of performance and battery life. After you have flashed the ROM there will be 3 ZIP files labled 1.2GHZ, 1.62GHZ and 1.78GHZ in the CleanROM folder. You can flash these in recovery to easily adjust the CPU frequency. Please note all devices may not be stable at 1.78GHZ.

I dont recommend using any overclocking tool such as SetCPU as the clock is controlled by the Virtuous OC Daemon. Using SetCPU could lead to undesirable affects. Let Virtuous do its thing!

Yeah I've been working mega overtime, twelve to fourteen hour days, six days a week with a hundred and thirty mile round trip commute. I've been bouncing between two backups as my daily driver. My original 1.1 CleanRom backup and CM7 Alpha 3. I finally took some time to play with my phone this weekend. Again you have outdone yourself as usual, Nice ROM :-D
